Status: offline 		Actually, what’s going on here is that I’m just getting over a very nasty bout of the flu. I have vague recollections of checking in on Collarme between bouts of feverish sweating, puking, etc (I have a hazy recollection of something about a balloon boy that turned out to be a hoax). Anyway, here I am lucid again and looking over Collarme in order to catch up and lo and behold here is Sanity and kittinSol going at each other again. How comforting it is to see that nothing has changed during my absence.



God Bless both of you and I hope neither of you, or anybody on Collarme for that matter, get what I had. I don't know if it was the swine flu but it was hands down the nastiest case of the flu I have ever had.

In any event, all drugs ought to be decriminalised. Much easier that way. Simple, really.

As do most of us, in one form or another. We take "drugs" for medicinal reasons in order to maintain/improve our health. Have you ever had a serious injury or surgery? If so, the pain killer you took was probably a derivative of opium...one of the most widely abused drugs out there.

Marijuana is one hell of a medication. It is legal in quite a few states in pill form and should be in all states. It is one of the best pain killers out there. It stimulates the appetite when given to chemo patients. It eases the pressure of glaucoma. And it is far less addictive then other pain killers.

My feeling...if marijuana helps, GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the flu a few weeks ago. I think it was the swine flu. A horrid thing to get, for a Jewish girl. Absolutely wretched. But one gets on with whatever is sent one's way.

In any event, Sanity and I ADORE each other. He is misguided when it comes to politics, but that's because he wasn't raised as a good Jewish boy by moi. Nobody is perfect.

Perhaps it is this very imperfection that makes him so utterly attractive: you should take a leaf from his book  .

Thank you, God bless you too Marc, and I'm glad to see you are getting better. Watch out for any possible relapse, they say if you feel a relapse coming on it is very bad news because it is often a deadly pneumonia or other nasty viral infection that snuck in while you were in a weakened state.

So take care of yourself, these forums wouldn't be the same without you!

Oh, 4:20 is my favorite time of day if that is what you mean. Alas, it is an immune system supressant and probably make us more likely to get the flu. Oh well. I look at it this way - it's over and done with and I don't have to worry about it any more.

Thanks. I am being careful and besides, there are TWO versions of the flu moving around this year! The normal seasonal flu and the swine flu - so I may have to go through it all again. But I can't imagine it being halfway as bad as what I just went through.

either are bad this year. I have had pneumonia 3 times now since 1997, gets harder each time. Spent all of last week going thru bad flu myself, in bed all week and now still coughing my head off trying to clear my lungs, and hoping for no relapse here as well.

Status: offline 		Yay! This is a step in the right direction. We aren't typically users of the herb but it's vastly superior to many of the pharmaceuticals being shoveled down people's throats.

Maybe eventually they will re-open research into LSD and psilocybin to treat addiction and ease the pain of the terminally ill.
