I cannot believe you did not think about the rights of the chick.

LaTigresse -> RE: Eat a Dog: Save the Planet. (10/23/2009 12:20:58 PM)

I did. The right to be eaten.

To Cut Global Warming, Swedes Study Their Plates

STOCKHOLM — Shopping for oatmeal, Helena Bergstrom, 37, admitted that she was flummoxed by the label on the blue box reading, “Climate declared: .87 kg CO2 per kg of product.”

“Right now, I don’t know what this means,” said Ms. Bergstrom, a pharmaceutical company employee.

But if a new experiment here succeeds, she and millions of other Swedes will soon find out. New labels listing the carbon dioxide emissions associated with the production of foods, from whole wheat pasta to fast food burgers, are appearing on some grocery items and restaurant menus around the country.

People who live to eat might dismiss this as silly. But changing one’s diet can be as effective in reducing emissions of climate-changing gases as changing the car one drives or doing away with the clothes dryer, scientific experts say.

(Or the dog they eat?)

I long for the days when journalists actually understood the field and asked questions, instead of printing blather without thinking.

If they did there would be no such thing as AGW, carbon offsets, cap and trade, or a Nobel Prize in pseudoscience.

Lashra -> RE: Eat a Dog: Save the Planet. (10/23/2009 8:36:04 PM)

I'd rather eat other human beings than eat a dog. I mean why are we wasting space by burying them in the ground? Just make ground chuck out of them! My dogs have redeeming qualities, a lot of people do not so, Ill keep my dog.

EAT the PETA PUTAS!

(they hate humans more than animals anyway.  they won't mind a 2000 Maniacs-meets-Russ Meyer- BBQ)

GoDolphins -> RE: Eat a Dog: Save the Planet. (10/23/2009 9:16:42 PM)

I think we should just eat the extreme environmentalists. Cut the human "carbon footprint" and get rid of the complainers at the same time. They should be willing to make the sacrifice for the environment, right?

Sexy eh?

The duck-taped boots themselves?  No.  Not really.  A woman with that sort of appreciation and understanding of duck tape?  Oh HELL yeah!  That's way fucking sexy!

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Eat a Dog: Save the Planet. (10/23/2009 9:44:07 PM)

and also, eat the pot-head white boys with dreadlocks who are just slacker-ass wastes of oxygen at Burning Man.

I mean, it'll be like a cheeseburger version of a hash-brownie.

you listenin' Beck's Talentless Wannabe Little Brother from the "I'm leaving this site" thread?

Hey, how about all those nasty animals that steal our picinic baskets and eat us and all that ? Maybe some of them should go. The wolf did not want to entice Red Riding Hood to a dinner, a dance and a movie. He wanted lunch. Wile E. Coyote was not looking for a pen pal when he was chasing the Roadrunner.

Now with all this activity going on doesn't it make sense to shut this damn ecosystem down ? They are not only breathing, but they are using alot of oxygen, both in chasing prey and avoiding predators. Unlike AIG, the ACME corp needed a bailout because of the Coyote not not paying up on time. Nobody could pay that much.

Open up those parks so we can have orgies and outdoor scenes and the younguns can go smoke whatever and experience nature. Let a bear crash through your cabin windows once and I'm sure you'll understand. (this has not happened to me but I hear tell)

These woodland cteatures scare our kids and dogs by biting their limbs off. They nvade even private property. We need a law. A law that bears and wolves etc. can understand. Something must be done.

And while you're at it, can we do something about the sunlight in my eyes on the way home from work. Just turn the sun down a bit. Can't God afford fifteen bucks for a light dimmer ?

Such simple solutions,
Nobody sees,
Geez.
