I can relate to what you're saying. Its why I have a love-hate relationship with clothespins.

I generally dislike and sometimes even dread the pain they bring. But when a Domme has a huge smile or grin on her face while playing with them and turning me into a hedgehog, I can also find pleasure and enjoyment from the pain simply because I know its pleasing her.
