I mean come on. the man is lying about his citizenship, he's broken soo many campaign promises even the Afrterican Americans are disenchanted with him (thus the 49% popularity rating). He's making cozy with leaders who have always been anti America and he is allowing soo many illegals to remain that American born workers cant get jobs and you think setting Rush up is something he couldnt or qouldnt do? Really?

According to the OP it was set up to look just like a Time Magazine news story:

quote:

It must have seemed so perfect. An obscure blogger unearths some pages of President Obama's college thesis. The report supposedly comes from big-time journalist Joe Klein of Time magazine. And the thesis has some real gems: like Obama's disdain for the Constitution.

And then when Rush learned that he had been mislead he immediately said so:

Hardly the crime of the century.

He believes he has good grounds for a lawsuit.  I wouldnt let any information i had to support that suit out until it needed to come out in court.  Too much shifty, shady bs happening these days.

How many dems wanted his position?  Hillary would have given both her tits to become president.  An attempt to fraudulently claim citizenship, proven fake by her, would have won her much with both parties.  Think about it....

I don't think that you are reading either. His suit got tossed from two courts already. What's he waiting for? Maybe the supreme court ?

I dunno.  I didnt ask him last time i spoke to him.  gesh.

They all lie.  You are safe to assume its one big lie when they all say the same thing.  Or that could be the rare occassion they tell the truth.  But dont tell me any of them are more "honest" or "trustworthy" then the rest.

The op...me...gave a link with the exact same video...did you not look at it?...And he read it as if it were true...saying the report has not been released......Then he said he did not care if it were true...He heard Obama say it... Oh about something else but he said it...yea...Integrity

Surely this cannot be your rebuttal?

The video in question is an audio clip with an old photo of Rush, before he shed the weight, just more evidence that Mediamatters is a heavily biased website. In the audio clip he explained why he was joking that it didn't matter if it was true...

Too bad you missed out on the humor. It was kinda funny.

Joking was not said by Limbaugh or insinuated Sanity...should I print a transcript of the link YOU posted...he repeated a lie as truth...No hedging in this thread.

To help explain Limbaugh's joke, here is transcript from the program in question, taken from Limbaugh's website:

quote:

So we have to hold out the possibility that this is not accurate.  However, I have had this happen to me recently.  I have had quotes attributed to me that were made up, and when it was pointed out to the media that the quotes were made up, they said, "It doesn't matter! We know Limbaugh thinks it anyway."  Sort of like Dan Rather said, "I don't care if these documents are forged. I know that Bush did what he did at the National Guard.  I don't care if the documents are forged."  I don't care if the Limbaugh quotes are made up.  So, I can say, "I don't care if these quotes are made up. I know Obama thinks it.  You know why I know Obama thinks it?  Because I've heard him say it."  Not about the Constitution, but about the Supreme Court.  Again, 2001, FM radio station interview in Chicago when he was a state senator in Illinois.

OBAMA 2001:  If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples so that, uh, I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and -- and order and as long as I could pay for it I'd be okay.  But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.

RUSH: Now, he's talking about the Warren Court "never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth."  So we've got a supposed piece from his college thesis at Columbia where he complains that the Constitution didn't talk about the distribution of wealth.  So we know that it's on his mind.  So even if he didn't say it, I know he thinks it.  That's how it works now in the media.  And I do know he thinks it because I just heard what I heard, and so did you.  Let's see.

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_102309/content/01125107.guest.html

Admittedly he goes on to get a little more serious and to explain that he really does believe that Obama thinks that way, and why he thinks it.

Sanity, you aren't trying to explain Rush, and how funny he can be, to people who don't get that kind of humor, are you?

He spends the first paragraph repeating the report as if it is truth...The second saying there is a possibility it is not true...the third saying it is true…. really. I've a good sense of humor but I fail to see humor here. I see a pitiful attempt to cover up incompetence and embarrassment.

So the self proclaimed….”America's Truth Detector; the Doctor of Democracy; the Most Dangerous Man in America; the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Everything Maha Rushie; defender of motherhood, protector of fatherhood and an all-around good guy.” … reports lies then explains how they are really true. Bases his analysis on a falsehood then builds on this falsehood as if it were true.

By the way….on his site he uses his fat picture under “about” so I guess you know how his site is too.

RUSH: I'm also told that the blog containing the passage on Obama's thesis is a satire blog. So it's one of these sites like ScrappleFace or The Onion or some such thing. So I shout from the mountaintops: "It was satire!"  But we know he thinks it.  Good comedy, to be comedy, must contain an element of truth, and we know how he feels about distribution of wealth.  He's mad at the courts for not going far enough on it. So we stand by the fabricated quote because we know Obama thinks it anyway.  That's how it works in the media today.

Wheres the joke, is the last line the punchline??  he shouldnt have to explain a joke...that was the END Of the transcript, NO joke, no aplogy, nothing, buggerall else.... He stands by the fabricated quote because he (we)knows Obama thinks it anyway...so hes a freakin mind reader as well as a comedian, entertainer, America's Truth Detector; the Doctor of Democracy; the Most Dangerous Man in America; the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Everything Maha Rushie; defender of motherhood, protector of fatherhood and an all-around good guy

Sorry Butch I had to copy the last bit...it may be the most hysterical thing Ive heard from him

You obviously have a point, but what makes it worth the effort is that there are those who are capable of seeing it.
