is it possible to offer my boot cleaning and polishing services for free and i pay all shipping? will my services be needed and enjoyed?

They'd have to trust you a lot to send you the boots. Why not look for a booted D type local to you?

It's not probable. I for one wouldn't send personal items of mine to a complete stranger with any expectation that I'd actually get them back.

Your best bet would be to get involved in your local community and see if you can offer your services there. You also might want to ponder the use of the term "slave" when it's really about very limited terms of your service that you've set.

Are you a competent bookblack? Do you know anything about leather care? What about other leather items such as corsets and whips?

If the answer to any of those was no, I wouldn't think so.

yes i do know about leather care mam! clean with saddle soap, hand polish boots, and then minkoil the boots!

hi, first of all i would send deposit money to ensure the boots are returned! lets say 100.00. if im doing services for free and its costing me money i would consider that is somewhat slavelike!

I don't often trust people who use minkoil because the stuff goes rancid pretty easily and if you use it then....well just say good bye to your leather. And for the $100 deposit, I can happily go to any leather event and set up shop to do boots all day long. Sounds like a guy looking to get his rocks off by stealing shoes and boots and heels from women.

WARNING: Deal ONLY with local and trusted bootblacks. Otherwise it's a waste of money and possibly some heart ache.

I do hope that you consider coming to BeyondLeather sometime. Next year I'm vending whips but would be happy to set aside time to do your boots/heels or to sit with your Clip and do them if you needed. I'm actually plotting/scheduling title running time in the next few years and have a great deal of encouragement from the local community here in Fl.

Ps. Lady Pact if you know of anyone with some nasty, nasty black boots (preferred military style) that they're ready to get rid of, I need practice pieces and the local thrift shops are kinda useless. I need to write to a few army/navy places though. I'll happily cover shipping and accredit anyone who donates boots when I post pictures on FetLife of the completed work.

(See the difference in the approach? Then again there's a different motivation)

I own a pair of boots that are older than I am, which have been cared for to be in good shape (as good as can be expected for leather that age). Explain to me how a $100 deposit would help me should something happen to them? The were almost 100 when they were purchased in the 70s...

You are asking people to give up their possessions, potentially prized ones at that, so that you can carry out your fetish by mail order? There is nothing slavelike about being a one trick pony, money involved or not. You are not a slave if you are only in service to yourself.

I had talked with Top about that at Thunder. I was asked last year and had to decline. I miss quite a few folks in the leather life on the east coast. The two of you are certainly among them.

On the boots, they are harder to come by since Mistress Military switched over the type. Between two military males, I'm sure we could scrounge some up. MP thinks he may have some in his old gear. I'd have to think clip has some as well and I'll ask him about that tomorrow morning. I may have access to some different resources here, so I'll check those out for you.
