Since another one of our conservative posters has come out with your exact same argument I can only blame it on me missing Fox today.

Because I'm sure it's the latest ludicrous Republican/conservative argument against reform.

So let's say you live in a state that decides not to opt out. Then you decide to keep your private insurance. Well, that's still just totally wrong because the evil government is making me pay someone else's bills through my tax dollars.
But you are already subsidizing those that do not have insurance through higher premiums.

Let's look at it another way though. If I don't have children my property taxes still go to pay for schools. Should we allow the childless to opt out of the share of their tax that supports public education?

If I don't drive, should I be allowed a tax deduction for not using the roads our taxes pay for?
