Not in my eyes, and not in the majority of peoples eyes. The large majority of pro-doms in the United States (there is a exception to the rule with anything) do NOT engage in sex with their clients, but endudge in fetishs. While I agree much of it is sexual, most do not have sexual contact with their clients.

Isn't that just an effort to evade prostitution laws, in much the same way that massage parlors and escort services attempt to evade those laws? In some states, the difference would be legally significant. In others it would not, but I was not speaking from the legal point of view. All those are offering sexual services for hire.

prostitute defined - 1. somebody paid for sexual intercourse I would say that if someone has intercourse, or oral sex, and is paid for it..... they are a prostitute. Someone dressing up in a leather outfit, and tieing someone up in bondage, and spanking them.... no I don't consider that to be the same.

No.  Even if there was something bad about being a prostitute, a pro domme generally doesn't have sex with her clients.  You can certainly argue that it's still sex work, but it doesn't meet "hooker" criteria.   There are escorts and prostitutes that will do some S&M, and that blurs the lines.  But generally speaking, someone billing herself as a pro domme is almost certainly not having any kind of sex with her clients and is probably not even taking her clothes off since the fetish outfit and domination is the major focus of their interaction.

No one said all Pro Dommes are hookers. What people said is that cheap women who take no consideration into the actual health hazard of unprotected sex for money are hookers...no matter how they dress up. I happen to agree.

I think it goes deeper than that.  I think that Mal is in denial about his own sexuality and can't come to terms with the fact that he really wants a big, leatherclad daddy plowing away at him.  His self hatred runs so deep that he can't help but lash out at anyone who freely exhibits their sexuality and appears to be enjoying life.  How sad is that?
