About 30 seconds after the change my bulk email was flooded and my inbox was getting that way too. I hate to think that the other lovely ladies on this site get this daily... do you sift through emails for a laugh now or just refuse to open them?

No, I'm afraid that's what it's like. I'd say it's 80/20 for a ratio of junk to worthwhile. (From what I understand, that's not too bad.) I don't get as much crap as some because I married, poly, and over forty. I can't imagine what it's like for those who don't have those factors.

I'm seriously beginning to consider having clip take over some of the correspondence. Since most of the *good* mail comes from people on the forums, he could just skip the names he recognizes from the boards. That way, I could handle the personal notes and he could save Me the time of dealing with the junk.

Yeah... the mail here is pretty terrible for the most part. Most of the people don't read your profile. Most have poor comprehension of English. Most also seem to be looking for some wank fodder.

When you have a couples profile though, that ends up cutting down on the junk mail significantly

My profile even says for subs not to email me, because I prefer to initiate contact myself (what a shock - a Domme who prefers the hunt!)...and I still get tons of email. I'm sure there are those who will come on here and rant that I tend to delete unsolicited email.

The wanking fodder one's can be funny... Most, can be funny... one-liners are huge time wasters and NOT funny... so you get nothing from them, not even a laugh.

I tend to play the game of how often can I tell them that MsKitty don't answer messages here until they get it. And then there's the ones with the repeated form letters that get caught and then profess they don't send form letters. It's awesome!

BG - they don't even read your profile. They just look for the red lettering that indicates your orientation. The vast majority of men on CM care only that you are breathing, female and dominant, and not necessarily in that order. Telling them not to contact you might reduce the wankermail, but it won't eliminate it. After years of being worn down by the idiot e-mail I receive, I no longer log on to the other side of CM. But don't mind me, I'm always this cheerful.

It is amusing. There's a guy in Texas who's been sending me the exact same email once a week for 6 weeks. It's drafted in the "generic trying to appear specific" fashion of "I really like your profile, etc." I haven't blocked him because I keep waiting to see if he tweaks his form. I may respond someday when I'm feeling sassy, along the lines of "I admire your loyalty and consistency in response."

The only time I initiate communication with someone is when I want to talk to them specifically. If they don't respond, I don't communicate with them further. But I'm not looking for wank fodder, a connection or anything of that nature, so my approach is a lot different. Plus, I usually only contact people who tend to know who I am already. I gave up looking for a partner a LONG time ago.

When I changed my profile from female slave to slave/Dom couple the emails from male doms virtually stopped. but the emails from male subs didn't slow down. I think its funny that some of them simply say "Please contact me" and nothing else. I guess you can demand things and still be submissive as long as you say please.

Omg! I'm supposed to check that they're still breathing, too? Oye, being a sub is getting complicated. I always just went with, if the body is still warm, no foul. But now you drop this bombshell on me. Ridiculous!

I have no idea what you mean by form letters. I get only letters sent only to me, and all the emailers are true to form....and I would know....I am the Queen of Ghana!!!

Well, the breathing part is nice to have, just so that we can wield our whips and sit on your face, but it really is just an option. If you can live without, certainly it expands your potential circle of dominas. Dead dominas tend not to be nearly so fussy as live ones.
