If you're not sure about that, I'd make sure as most of the other posters have noted. I also see this as a totally worthless punishment insofar as such things go but your relationship isn't mine.

personally, I think if you're going to do this, the profile is the write place to put them. I'd leave them up for an assigned amount of time (determined at the moment of infraction). I would cover as much or little as your own whim and whatever boundaries you two have would dictate.
