Frank,

I'm inclined to think your logic needs sorting out more than my eyesight.  Venatrix a) will be able to read your statement above, b) has more than a bit of a fiery temper, in case you haven't noticed, and c) will be staying not a million miles from where you live when she first comes to the UK. Isn't it past your bedtime?  It's a school night, after all.

Are you going to tuck me in?

Venatrix -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/4/2009 3:11:45 PM)

Frank generally behaves himself, unlike some people I know, so he hasn't been on the receiving end of my temper.  Yet.  But, clearly, he's starting to hang about with a bad crowd.

PeonForHer -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/4/2009 4:53:08 PM)

Yes, I've already come to realise that Frank is a good guy.  I shall strive to learn from his courteousness and chivalrous demeanour towards women - respecting them at all times, understanding and appreciating the beauty of their souls, the strain of Goddess that is in every one of them.

Frank, you do know that Venatrix is as mad as a bloody mongoose, don't you?

Venatrix -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/4/2009 4:59:25 PM)

What a load of bollocks.  Keep that up, and you'll start scaring the dominants.

PeonForHer -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/4/2009 5:05:05 PM)

You wound me very deeply, V.  [:(]

"Have you ever scared a sub too much?"

No, and I don't intend to. Mindfucks are a hard limit, for me.  Ew. [:'(]

My boy would run screaming away, and I'd be the cause. Nope. Not interested in purposely scaring him AT ALL. YKINMK.

Awww, PFH, you say the sweetest things.  I've always said British men were the most romantic.

DerangedUnit -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/4/2009 6:46:08 PM)

TexasMaam -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/4/2009 7:42:18 PM)

Oh Myyyy YESSSSSSS! whiney sub in question claimed to have had experience, but primarily wanted a Domme in hot boots, I think.

Said he craved bondage, pain, flogging, and even claimed to crave caning.

When it came to actual hair pulling, clamping, paddling, flogging, or whipping he was a total wuss.

Told every one he knew that I'm insane because I 'hurt' him.

Yikes! man-up there, fella!

He ran, I was delighted.

Oh My Goodness, I know that scenario!  The bottoms who are such big masochists until the toys actually come out.  Yeah.  LOL.

Tip of the day for anyone who might fit that description.  Tell the truth about your pain tolerance.  It's a lot more fun for both top and bottom if you are realistic about what you can handle or what your skill level is if you're on the top side.  Don't swear up and down that you're a pain slut and then fall through on that expectation.

Venatrix -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/5/2009 9:41:21 AM)

Yes, I had the same problem with a sub.  He'd billed himself with those exact words, as a pain slut.  Less than ten minutes into the scene, he used his safe word.  I stopped and asked him what the matter was.  He said, "It's too much."  I pointed out that he'd said he was a pain slut.  He said, "Yes, but I need a warm-up."  I said, "That was my warm-up."  Turns out what he really wanted was shoe worship.  Sigh.

PeonForHer -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/5/2009 10:36:35 AM)

FR

Is it possible that this freaking out by subs at the first level of pain is more psychological than physical?  A lot people, after all, experience pain quite frequently - running, getting out of breath, lifting weights in the gym . . .

That is just ridiculous, PFH!  I could never agree to that view.

But if you'd mentioned squirrels it might have been different.  But my lips are sealed (well they are bloody now!)

PeonForHer -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/5/2009 11:26:00 AM)

Are you saying that V has squirrel-like qualities - or that she's got a phobia of them, Frank?  The first is next to impossible to see, the second is only too plausible *cackle*

Venatrix -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/5/2009 11:32:54 AM)

Just keep at it, you two.  The beatings will stop until behaviour improves.

PFH, in answer to your other question about whether not being able to take the pain was psychological, what I think is much more likely is that they've fantasised about taking a good deal of pain, then find out that fantasy and reality don't quite match.  The problem arises when they say, "I am a pain slut", which implies a certain level of experience, rather than, "I'd like to be a pain slut" or "I hope I'm a pain slut".

PFH, it'd be me to be the mad as a mongoose one if I was to say something to upset someone special to me.  And you're wrong on all counts.

Oh, sure.  Mention that the beatings are going to stop and look how contrite they all become.  Pffft!

MistressKitty123 -> RE: Have you ever scared a sub too much? (11/5/2009 12:24:23 PM)

I find laying out all the heavy impact implements in a very deliberate manner, and in plain view of said submissive can do wonders in the 'mind fuck' area.  Even if I'm not planning on using them, the sub is aware that it's still a possibility.
