ORIGINAL: masterlink65 i had these people make a titanium collar for my slave. it seems very durable and well made. my slaves collar is kept locked 24/7. stainless steel gets pitted after awhile. so i decided to get my slave something that will last. I'm under the impression that titanium is softer than stainless steel. At least when it comes to ice screws, stainless steel is much more durable than titanium. That depends a lot on the alloy, heat treatment, any other hardening, etc... Titanium has a much higher strength-to-weight ratio, meaning that 10lbs of titanium can hold a lot more than 10lbs of steel, but like I said, that depends on the alloy and hardening.
