I have to send the keyboard back to the factory if a key accidentally falls off and you suggest that I take the keys off?  Shudder.....Shudder......Shudder.I would make a disaster of it; a guaranteed disaster.  That is why I purchase accident insurance on the thing.I will have nightmares tonight; dancing keys.

Then just buy a new one?  They are only ten to fifteen dollars for the inexpensive ones.

I once tried that and destroyed the keys.  Some of us are simply ass backwards when it comes to repairing the keyboard. I am teminally screwed up in that regard.  If I try to fix the keys they would be destroyed as well as the hard drive when I took the thing apart to affix the keys. If I said repair in the same sentence with computer my x wife ran in and grabbed the computer.

Status: offline 		Mike, buy a new keyboard, they're only $15-$20.
One time I had an oscillating fan that was filthy.
I put it in a sink full of soapy water and rinsed it with the sprayer. Then, I let it sit for a week before turning it on!
Worked like a charm!
