These are always fun threads. What are you reading? Besides this post, I mean.

I'm about to start John le Carre's The Constant Gardener, am I in for a treat?

Never read The Constant Gardener but I thought the film was quite good and I'm usually much more of a book person.

I'm currently reading: Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie (for to make the brain biggerer)
Kushiel's Avatar by Jacqueline Carey (for the kink)
Perdido Street Station by China Mieville (for fun)
and always, always Clinical Medicine by Kumar and Clark (for to pass nasty exams)

I'm rereading "Walden" by Thoreau. It's one of my favorite books.

I think you'll enjoy The Constant Gardener. Of course as usual...better than the movie even though the movie was good as well.

I really enjoyed The Constant Gardener.

I am reading:

"Perfume, The Art and Science of Scent," by Cathy Newman

"The 10,000 Year Explosion," by Cochran

I am rereading "Kissing the  Gunner's Daughter," by Ruth Rendell

I always have several (usually nonfiction) going at once. Here's what I'm currently reading:

1. Superfreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes and Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance - Steven D. Levitt
2. Dead Run: The Shocking Story of Dennis Stockton and Life on Death Row in America - Joe Jackson
3. Ford County - John Grisham
4. Moonwebs: Journey into the mind of a cult - Josh Freed

I'm anxiously awaiting these that I hope to start soon:

The Adderall Diaries: A Memoir of Moods, Masochism, and Murder - Stephen Elliott
Bright-sided: How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking Has Undermined America - Barbara Ehrenreich

I love my books!

The Daily Coyote, forget the author.

Saw a cousin today who's all excited, he's reading Gorky Park by Martin Cruz Smith. Now that's a book I haven't read in over 20 years. But a truly excellent one.

Today, I finished Last Man Standing by David Baldacci.  Also started and finished Heart and Sould by Maeve Binchy.  Started a Lee Child book that I had previously read.  Left it at work, because I have a few more library books to go through.  Gotta decide which two to take in to work tomorrow (I've got two Steve Berry's and an Eric Flint)

The Flint I've got right now is called Pyramid Power (with David Freer). The damned library is ALWAYS out of 1632.. so I've been reading the Grantville books out of sequence (annoying, but I cant help myself.. blame it on Sci.. he left me a copy of the Gazette...)

Freakonomics was a very interesting book.  I didn't know there was a Superfreakonomics!  I'll have to get that!

I'm reading:  Seaway Trail:  Lighthouses.  It's an illustrated guide to historic lighthouses along the Seaway Trail in NY State and PA and A Sorrow in Our Heart:  The life of Techumseh by Allan W. Eckert.

Thank you all for participating and for the responses on le Carre's book.

Greedy, I love Lee Child, I literally have Gone Tomorrow bedside right now, about to start back on it.
