ORIGINAL: PeonForHer I've heard that when a man's taken in the ass, he'll be turned on, may well be in utter subspace - but won't have a hard-on. A gay man I once spoke, who said that he was always the 'recipient' in sex, said he often didn't have a hard-on when he was 'receiving'. Maybe there is something fundamental about being submissive, male, turned on, but not hard . . . . Speaking as a gay male, that is not always the case. Some gay men do maintain a hard erection during anal sex, some lose their erection and are still aroused, some gay men get semi erect. The ability to have, maintain and sustain an erection is dependant upon many many factors. Factors such as age, medications, health issues and psychological factors. It is pretty much guaranteed that any man will lose an erection when he is placed under pressure to get "hard" at another's command, after all, the ability to get an erection is mainly an involuntary reaction of the body; much in the same was blinking your eyes or breathing. From my understanding, arousal and erections in a male is a cyclic process which means that erections will soften and become hard again during arousal. Granted a healthy male withopuit medical issues can sustain an erection for 10, 15, 20 mins or more, it will soften and with continual arousal he will regain an erection.
