The first doomsday prophecy i heard about was that the goods would strike us all down, because somebody invented the bow and arrow. I think it is mentioned in Saxo, which puts it around 1000 - 1100. And they pretty much kept coming ever since. When i hear "The end is near" i do agree as i normally sit on it. [sm=ass.gif]

Thing is, people actually believe this shit, and consider serious action. I heard an astro-physicist on NPR yesterday talking about the questions he gets about mysterious planets and pole shifts and teens considering suicide right before 12/21. One elderly lady wrote that her little dog was her only friend, and when should she put it to sleep, so it wouldn't suffer in the cataclysm. Sad, scary stuff.

Well, I am still working out how to get the supervolcano in lake Toba in indonesia to erupt so that my heavy investments in winter sports and resorts will pay off big after it starts a new ice age.....
