That this, previously believed bit of common knowledge, or the fact that Congress also excludes themselves from the bankrupt social security program represents a larger problem than the exemption itself. Getting what seems to be the vast majority of citizens to identity party loyalty as a religion seems to have reaped this reward. Polarize, keep up the distractions, throw a bone to two every now and then, and make sure the educational system doesn't educate and it becomes a surprise to know that the 'lawgivers' give laws, they don't follow them.

So, your not happy. Now what; continue with, its a Republican thing or a Democratic thing? Wait another generation or two and expect a third party revolution, or perhaps a revolution itself? You, actually we, have only one path that may work with the deck stacked so bad against us. The 'bipartisan campaign reform act', you always know you're getting fucked when any Bill is passed with 'bi-partisan' support, makes it almost impossible to take out an incumbent; but that's the only resort. WE have to remove political party blinders and vote against any incumbent. Do it enough and maybe us inmates can take over the asylum.

Doubt it though, too many agendas are out there. Public employees alone make up nearly enough of a constituency now to insure maintaining the status quo. They for sure won't vote against themselves or reducing the bloated bureaucracy they derive their livelihood. We have other faith based religious following, like global warming, abortions, health care, and a plethora of sanctimonious entitlement program advocates that have to vote for their candidate or their party agenda. That's what they're counting on, and frankly that's why I think they've already won and there is no chance of change.

You're not happy, but I guarantee that when the next opportunity comes to vote you'll pick a candidate based on party or personal agenda, instead of a simple 'NO!' vote to the entire fixed game going on in Washington and every State Capital throughout the country. You can always vent and post on CM if that helps.

I think the biggest problem is each side blaming the other. All of the politicians suck. Both sides. Once the public can grasp that concept and vote all of them out, there will never be a difference. At this point, we have absolutely nothing to lose by voting in a third party. They certainly can't do any worse than the big two.

you need to make me want to drop to my knees baby..I'm figuring out where I want to be and how to get there.  It's a slow process, but it's happening with the help of a wonderful lady.  We're taking things one day at a time and seeing where this journey takes us.. whether together all the way or to part sometime in the future.. it works for us now.

The really weird thing I've noticed is that everybody whose been complaining about the money Obama's been spending for the last ten months are always huge fans of Reagan and his massive deficit. No idea how that works...
