*chuckles* somehow I keep envisioning a traffic cop.... [sm=waves.gif] No, we don't have any formal hand signals, but people do communicate through body language all the time and I think a slave learns to read when her Master wants something or is displeased etc. just as a Master learns to read his slave and knows when something is wrong or off. It makes me think about the times I've performed in ballets... being on the stage while the principals danced together, I got a really nice close-up view :) Anyway, what the audience can't see is all the gestures and looks and mumbled communication that goes on between them as she lets him know that her balance needs adjusting, that she needs help NOW, as they look to one another to synchronize a large lift... they don't seem to have any specific hand signals devised ahead of time... yet there was SO much communication going on. And I guess I see it more like that. A look, a raised eyebrow, a small movement of the finger, a tilt of the head help communicate the necessary adjustments. Though, I can also see that there may be times where a pre-agreed signal might be useful in specific situations ... we've just never needed one yet. Well wishes, anna
