Yeah, thats what got me. I thought it was an interesting report.

You miss my point, China is trying to provide universal coverage but failing so far....mostly due to bad regulation.....the USA isn't trying to provide universal coverage.

That's what I meant, China does have a universal system....has since the revolution.....it just doesn't work very well.

yeah any sort of evidence, except you parroting Chinese propaganda. Like an actuall study or article.

Like the one I posted on how thier system actually works (in reality not in wish for the future land).

You honestly think the Chinese are working hard to provide free good health coverage for the Xuiigurs and Tibetians? Chinese propaganda.....

Dude, why the fuck would I be parroting chinese propaganda?
Do you think I've ever even heard chinese propaganda? They don't exactly run ads in the UK....

What did I say that sounded like propaganda to you? was it when I said their system is failing, due to bad regulation, lack of funding, and not keeping up with reforms?

Also you may want to reconsider your definition of 'evidence' if that link counts for you.

And that is based on what proof?

Look up solar panels in  Illinois/rockford and you will find a Chinese company ( still building there plant), I will won't pollute your search by giving you there name, the free market should supply it, apply for a job and see what they offer and you will find no cost health insurance, at least thatis what they offered the 350 people they have hired so far

Population of china, 2008... 1,325, 639,982

23 percent... as of a year ago.

Maybe China is asking question because they wanna see how to do it profitably?

Am I the only one here that still enjoys calling China, "Red China"?

I remember hearing the term as a little girl, and it stuck with me.

Red China, Red China, I guess we stopped calling them that, when we became so "buddy, buddy" with them in the 80s.

lol

China isn't communist any more.

They evolved into a facist state over a decade ago.

Why dont you look up the definitin of facism and tell me how it does not apply to China. I am assuming that in a political chat we don't have to waste time defing such basic terms.

and if you are that uneducated, I am not going to waste my time

The definition of facism is such that I'd be suspicious of the faculties of anyone who insults based on disputing its application, but as the basic defined tenets include racial/tribal dominance, and a single authoritarian dictator.....
China?

China govt pleased but ordinary folk cool on Obama

BEIJING (AP) - State media heralded President Barack Obama's maiden trip to China as a triumph, but ordinary Chinese were largely shielded by their government from his most critical remarks and activists were disappointed by the measured tone of those they did hear. One blogger even pined for the tough line taken by former President George W. Bush. "Like a star rushing from one show to another, Obama has come and gone, without stirring the slightest ripples," blogger Zhao Dezhu wrote in an online post.

Zhao, who writes a popular blog and twitters under the name Hecaitou, said the visit made him miss Bush who "couldn't speak with flowery language and even made grammatical mistakes but spoke as plainly as an American farmer." Obama, by contrast, speaks "with sweet but empty words."

State media portrayed the two-and-a-half day trip as a slam-dunk for China-U.S. relations, saying a joint statement issued by Obama and China's President Hu Jintao was a breakthrough to inspire the world.

"The Sino-U.S. Joint Statement is as worthy as gold," trumpeted the state-run 21st Century Business Herald while the Beijing Post said it set "a good example for many other bilateral relations." Among regular folk, there was no such sizzle.

Absolutly DC, are you not aware that China is run as an absolute dictatorship, by Han, over dozens of different ethnic and language groups. If you don't know that, you are falling for thier propoganda. Most citizens of China are not ethnic Chinese and they are ruled by force.

Do you think that President Hu was elected by the people?

You left out the merger of Corparation and state, which also is the reality of modern China.

How is that not facist?

Because it made the Republican businessmen's heads explode when they had to look at a supply chain based on Communist Chinese slave labor.

Bingo! What a great answer.
BEFORE we decided to run over there and use cheap Chinese labor, they were "Red China", the bad Communist country.
When the Republicans/Big Business/Corporate America decided to sell us the US manufacturing base down the river, they did indeed drop the "Red" part.

I still like to call China, "Red China".

Here is a great article on the birth of "Red China"!
Red China  is now 60 years old!
