Status: offline 		She could do it. There is a tremendous amount of unfocused rage out there, based on the faltering economy, changing demographics, and the fear of terrorism.

Palin taps into that- she represents the rural, white, working class people who see urban (read Black) gay, immigrant secular culture as something alien and dangerous. They feel like "their" America is being taken away, and they are being relegated to the back of the bus so to speak.
My only hope is that she alienates more than she attracts. And she is doing a pretty good job of that.

I think she is alienating many, and that adverse demographics, and growing awareness of regional, national, and global politics, will snuff her candle.

She will sell millions of books, but that's no skin off our collective noses.

The demopuke socialist jerks will not see power again (at least in my lifetime)....its back to fundamentals....small lean government responsive to the FUCKING TAXPAYER....lower taxes...less regulation....turn the engine of American economic might loose....and watch the lights come back on..... Run Sarah Run!  ....fuck Obama!

2. She can still see Russia from her house.
3. Her ghost writer can make her sound literate.
4. She wouldn't be the first petty back stabber to seek the nomination.
5. She'd spend most of her PAC money on clothing.
6. She'd stay away from Katie Couric like the plauge, since she asks such tough "gotcha" questions like... "what magazines do you read?"
7. She'd be able to exploit her kids for political gain (again)
8. She'd have the fantatic, bitter, gun totin' Jesus nutter, racist, NASCAR fan vote sewn up.
9. She'll have a talk show on FOX to push the idea... like a twisted version of Walt Disney promoting "The Handmaid's Tale-Land."
10. Because the GOP doesn't have anyone else, having long ago purged themselves of anyone electable by moderate independants.

Status: offline 		Nate Silver thinks she will run and the other guy Tom Schaller is saying she will not win the presidency or he is giving 10 reasons she will not become president. So they are debating two different things or apples and oranges. Besides, they have a right to disagree with each other.

And I just wanted to add Nate Silver got every single state correct as to which party would win or lose in the last election, according to Lawrence O'Donnell who was substituting for Keith Olbermann on his show Countdown.

Status: offline 		IMO, running Palin, is the surest way to get Obama elected to a second term.

I would not vote for her. She is likable, but I don't vote on likability, I vote on perceived intelligence, knowledge, and philosophy.  And those interviews last election cycle, will come back to haunt her, she obviously was lost on issues, I was even familiar with, and its not in my job description to know such things.

Status: offline 		I'm not a Sarah Palin fan, since she still doesn't have a clue about the failure and long term implications of our immigration policies, but she certainly has a better understanding of the Constitution and how Capitalism works than Hillary Clinton does.

I didn't view this, but what I glimpsed from as the collar turns, it sounds like a David Letterman Top 10 and everyone knows that David Letterman is goofy as hell, politically as well. I think more people voted against McCain in protest, than were actually voting for the Obamanation. While half the country is realizing that globalism is destroying our economy, McCain tells people in Michigan, tough shit, get used to it. While the Obamanation lies to win the election and tells people we will at least renegotiate NAFTA. Behind closed doors his people were telling the Canadians they had nothing to worry about. Even McCain said he would say anything to win the election.

This should counter David letterman quite well.
