Apparently you don't understand the nature of state governments. If a company is allowed to sell across state lines, all it will have to do is headquarter in a state where it can buy favorable regulation and sell from there. The problem then becomes even harder to solve because it becomes a matter of interstate commerce.

Once again, the solution offered by the insurance companies to solving any problems they have caused is not a solution that is going to benefit anyone but the insurance companies.

Agreed. This is one area where people blathering on about "competition" alternately amuse and infuriate me. I understand how competition works. Allowing insurance companies to "sell across state lines" encourages state governments to compete with each other for business with businesses. Such competition takes the form of industry friendly laws and regulations that increasingly ignore and devalue the interests of consumers. It's called a "race to the bottom." It's happened before --see Delaware (incorporation) and South Dakota (credit cards) -- and it would most certainly happen again.

So, like the credit card companies (a financial wizard should understand) there will be differences here and there, but companywide wise they will headquarter in the state that favors them, sorta like why alot of insurance is in Conneticut, now, and I assume that an overall pall spread across the US to get them back from their hight faluting ways, will not change the climate in such a way that they will have to move from their state, since it will affect them broadband, but not so much at the corporate climate level.
