Hell yeah - add a 25% VAT tax at least. By the time the people understand what it is, they'll be used to paying it. Besides, I'm sure there are still some businesses and individuals who are still not convinced to bail and stop producing and they have to be reigned in and understand that entitlements to war, as well as any others the government can think of, supersede any thought of investment or expansion. The economy is running on all cylinder (NOT a typo). But really, is there still a war going on that the President has within his power the ability to end it? I thought it was declared over sometime in January. Aren't the prisoners released? Haven't we a clear path and date to leave Iraq? I imagine that Afghanistan escalation campaign promise has worked well and we're on our way to converting Afghanistan into a free democratic ally in the region now that the philosophy of chatting with our adversaries is stated as Administration policy. War, death of military and innocent civilians isn't occurring. US occupation and subsequent US resentment is decreasing. I've heard some rumbling, I think there was a big strategy summit with a general on the way to advocate the important issue of the Chicago Olympics, about a decision being made on Afghanistan, but like most important issues facing this Administration - there hasn't been enough time to form, or implement, a plan. I have to imagine because all the forum chat about the war and escalation has taken a backseat to such critical issues as an authors book tour. Yup - The best thing to do is to remain calm - ALL IS WELL!!
