Missokyst -> RE: WHY SLAVES ARE OFTEN AGGRESSIVES? (11/29/2009 8:41:34 AM)

I think the problem is that you see yourself as a dominant, whereas other people just see you as a person. Let me clarify by using an example with which I am familar. My job requires that I clean up virus and spyware infected computers. In the course of doing my job I have run across more than a few minors (under 18) who have profiles up on various websites with screen names that have slave, or master in their title. One of those young men was a regular on a chat site I used to visit.. which I never knew until I cleaned up his computer and saw the login name. That kid, who I always found to be a blowhard ass, seemed to be great at hooking up with "slaves" in the chat room who would fall for his brand of dominance. In his head and theirs, he was dominant. In my head he was just a blowhard ass who I often put on block because he was an ill-mannered idiot in my view. I saw him as an idiot long before I found out he was a minor. He claimed to be a master. Some believed him, some did not. See.. online, people can claim what ever title they wish. It MIGHT be true, or it might not be. What is true is that we are all humans. I don't expect people to act a certain way to me based on some title I might identify with. I don't treat anyone better or worse based on their self imposed title. For me, they are just human as am I. And humans will react in a variety of ways of which I have no control. The best advice I have seen in this tread was from Zephyr [So just ignore them. I cannot imagine going through life so upset over people I will never meet. I'd rather interact with those people I enjoy interacting with and not pay attention to those who upset me.] quote:
ORIGINAL: Eigenaar I am not upset, I notice this ungoing behaviour of ridiculing other users in these threads, spelling out things for them like they don't understand when all they have is an opinion and this thread is about the undesired behaviour of slaves. Telling users to let things go and leave a thread is as belittling.
