Traditionally, my family has Thanksgiving in my sister's home on Thanksgiving weekend, usually Saturday. A death in the family has cancelled that, and we were invited to join her in her home for her inlaws Thanksgiving, and they were very gracious in sharing their holiday with us. Roast Turkey real Mashed Potatoes Giblet Gravy the dressing recipie traditional to their family - a lovely hamburger stuffing Homemade coleslaw develed eggs green beans green peas creamed corn sweet potatoes in sweet glaze (no marshmellows, thankfully!) rolls cranberry sauce (from a can) all served buffett style And for dessert: pumpkin pie derby pie and cool whip, of course And, as my sister's inlaw's family tradition dictates, the following batches of Chrstmas cookies: snickerdoodles snowballs raisin stuffed pillow cookies (which my sister makes flat, cut out of autumn cookie cutters and sandwiched) and chocolate chip Oh, and someone, I don't know who, brought the tiniest batch of pumpkin fudge - YUM! and chrstimas music the night before, it's family all over to cook together, with christmas music, and a big dinner of salad, garlic bread and spaggeghti and meatballs.
