I think Huckabee's toast.  Which is a damn shame because I think he did the right thing in pardoning Clemmons based on the facts at that time.  Clemmons clearly went insane later on.

Note that it's tough for a senator to run for President because his or her opposition can go through hundreds of bills and pick and choose ones to trumpet unpopular stands from.  Now it may be tough for governors to run if they've ever granted clemency.

The problem with that argument DS is this isn't Huckabee's first go-round with questionable pardons and commutations.
It should allways be tough to run for President....its a tough job!

On the other hand, it doesn't do them any favours if they avoid voting on anything in case it offends somebody either, does it?
