Angel, here is a group that I am a member off.  There ae postings about plan ahead cooking in there somewhere.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Frugal-Folks-Life/

I call it my cheapshate site.

ETA:  I am too lazy to search but where on Sparkpeople is the group?  There is one on there but it has been a year since the last posting.

Thanks Calla and ShaharThorne for the tips.

I admit i have opened a blog for myself to help me stay accountable and little musings and such. I usually do well when i have done this in the past - i usually do it on paper but i wanna play with pictures and such lol . Its funny but i can feel myself getting psyched up to get back to it. Tomorrow is my last day of work this year and i will then spend some time getting my house in order and cooking etc and simply just do what needs to be done!

Have a great night folks.

angel

I've been so bad with the exercising since the time change so I've packed a gym bag & will be going to the gym straight from work. I'm NOT going home beforehand since that's how I get into trouble.
Thank you for the link, Shahar!

One thing that this doesn't discuss, though, is whether the items are high glycemic index or low glycemic index. Not all carbs are created equal, and sticking to the ones that have lower impact on insulin is preferable. For example, even though a teaspoon of jam has 1/3 less carbs than an apple, the apple is a better choice because the fiber in the apple means that it has a lower impact on blood glucose and less impact on insulin.

the glycemic index site was posted by me last post I posted here. that is far more important than 'carbs' count.

BTW, it's on page 18.  I just went through the whole thread looking for it.  Thought I'd save the rest of you some time.  Course, think of all the calories I used!!  [8D]

For those of use that have CHAOS (can't have anyone over syndrome) there is www.flylady.net.  I am a member and it goes into not only housework, but into pampering oneself and taking care of yourself health.  It takes me 15 minutes to clean house, a bit longer washing dishes (broken dishwasher so we do them by hand).

I also listening to MP3s like crazy and am building up my music collection.  I want to rip the CDs to my hard drive so I can sync a library up just for working out.  Curves has a nice selection of music that they work out to but at time I want country or metal to get my heart pumping.  Nothing like Thunderstuck by AC/DC to get me going.

You're absolutely right, Calla & I did think about that as I typed out this list but I thought it would be a reference & if anyone wanted to investigate the nutitional information further they would do so on their own.

I have good news to post!!  I have lost another 3 lbs, don't ask me how.  But that makes a total of 29 lbs since the Dr diagnosed me as old, fat & outta shape in August!!!!!  Nothing like it when the Doc gets down & dirty & doesn't pull any punches, eh??

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (12/31/2009 9:29:22 AM)

Oh, I am!!  This is too much fun & excitement to give it up.  I seem to lose 3 lbs, then stall for a couple of weeks, then lose 3 lbs.  Maybe once I'm settled in my new situation & am able to work out in their exercise room on a regular basis, I will start losing more regularly.  Also, since there are 2 diabetics in the home, I will be trying to do the low-glycemic thing with them.  I think that might help me too.

VirginPotty -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (12/31/2009 9:39:39 AM)

When do you start your new job?
