There is talk of snow here in Maryland for sometime this weekend (last i checked the weather). I love the snow, having lived in California all our lives its a welcome thing for us now that we are on the east coast. My kids love it. My dog HATES its. She wont go out in it. lol

Lived long enough in NJ to have seen enough snow. Now, in CA, I like seeing snow from my deck way off in the distance in the mountains. beth taught me to appreciate that in LA, you can wake up in the morning and drive to whatever weather you feel like and get there by noon; a nice ocean breeze, a hot desert, or skiing in the mountains. One of the 'rites of passage' for the HS / College crowd is to surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. NO - Neither of us have done that, but we have taken a jacuzzi with an ocean view and later that night - been in another hot tub in the snowy mountains. That's enough snow for us. We don't even get our Xmas tree 'flocked'. PS - When someone says they "have chains in the car" in LA - That doesn't mean they are into the lifestyle. I won't make that mistake again!

I live in Colorado, and the snow situation here is as good as it could get. We get snowstorms but the melt away in a few days' time. And I STILL hate snow! Mebbe I should have stayed in Albuquerque, But at least it's not like Maine, where the snow hung around forever,

I lived in a small town in the Cascade Mountains & one year it snowed on Thanksgiving Day & the next day the temperature dropped into the 20's & stayed there for the next several months. I next saw the pavement in front of my house in March! And I STILL love snow.

Exactly, GM---I will take that inch of rain ANY DAY!! Though evidently the snow has some more or other beneficial effect on the fields here in the north? I dunno. We've had an abundance of rain lately, so certain crops were wrecked because of it. I just know that I HATE SNOW.

All I have to say is better you than me!!!!! If the closest I ever get to snow again is watching it on the Weather Channel, I'll die happy....I grew up in upstate NY during the winters of 77 and 78......that was more than enough snow to last a lifetime!!!!! The only thing that made it fun was the snowmobiles....otherwise, I'd hibernate! The weather here sucks today, it's cold and rainy, and Sunshine quit on me on the way home...I'm hoping it's just cuz she got wet somehow, she turns over, but doeesnt' fire....maybe the spark plug? At least I don't have to go to work til Monday. I'm hoping that once she dries out, she'll fire up....I really need a car! However, I need to find insurance first....Progressive quoted me $1200 a year!!!!

I love snow! I love playing in it, watching it fall, and throwing an occasional snow ball. However, I do not care to drive in it.
