I'd fail you for that. Honestly, stick to the draw to pre industrial metal working. The intimate connection between the craftsman who creates something that works and the artist who puts form over function. And what happens when form and function collide.

Curved swords are illegal? I'd find an example in a museum and argue that if they're legally collectable, then they could legally be sold as art.

Not to worry, Aneirin.

School, philosophy, society, the world, your career, your thinking--all will always be as small and meaningless as you're willing to make them.

Enjoy.

In time, you may start to suspect the actual problem. Perhaps even work to solve it.

Good luck.

...all valid parts of the artistic experience, but not necessarily what needs to be done when trying to pass an exam ;) Especially in the arts......

Maybe combing both concepts would be a good idea. Mentioning your inspiration but also pointing out that craftsmen may or may not have had a personal philosophy concerning their work. For a medieval metal worker which was more important, the internal process that went into making the sword,or the quality of the final product? "Artists statements" are meant to push boundaries, not to be easily digestible imho.

It is simply a thought that a group of weak people can be convinced is important and worth an action.

...to which i say, bah humbug.

It does help get rid of the excess population.
