I feel a cold coming on. So I heated a litre of pea soup, poured it into a bucket and am now drinking hot pea soup from the bucket.

I thought that you were supposed to have chicken soup when you had a cold coming on.

Pea soup is good too, especially if flavored with bits of chicken or pork. Any rich hot nourishing liquidy goodness is good for the sick person - of course the thing about the chicken that all of our grandmothers knew is, the nutrients in the chicken are known to bolster the immune system (I'd have to look up the specific measurements and whatknot, as it's been a long time and I dinna remember).
Me, I'm having pancakes with butter and maple syrple..  *NOM NOM NOM*

I am having bean soup with cornbread actually.  It is cold and that is just the thing for a cold evening!

If you are getting a cold take a zinc tablet for two or three days, this will help minimize the ill effects. The one caveat to this is that you must take the tablets within the first 48 hours of the onset.. The earlier you take it after noticing the onset the more effective it will be.

Snacking on peach Trollio's and drinking Monster Import, reading message boards, then I'm supposed to be writing a term paper.

We had pork something or other and grilled veggies and lima beans and baked red potatoes.  Aunt Fab is a great cook!  And I went to the gym and worked it all off!!!

And a banana.  I had a banana.  Yum.

We had a boring, but very tasty, midwestern type meal. Beef roast slow cooked with potatoes and carrots.

After drinking a lot I tend to crave beef. I drank quite a bit of wine last night!

Some pot roast made the other day with red wine and mushrooms, yum. And some noodles in a garlic sauce from a package.

Tomorrow will be fish cakes. For some reason I have had a hankering for them lately so am defrosting the fish overnight in the fridge.

I am awful in that respect. I gave up on my mince meat and gave the rest to my cats, same with half of my pizza (well, whatever is left from it I will bin tomorrow. They rarely get from my food but right now I don't care and they can have it). However with my cold I am not really having appetite right now and keep nibbling on my chocolate and chocolate pudding...I know that this lacks of vitamins but hey...at least something to eat
