I was just wondering what others thought of some of the profile handles that people use. Are you inclinded to look at it or avoid it depending on the name used or does it make any difference?

I haven't really thought about it.

Thinking about it, briefly, I tend to search for subs who have the name "Jennifer" or "Rachel" in their handle. Not very kinky? I concur. But I just like those names. lol

Ahhh, to find a sub with the handle "Jennifer Rachel", life would then be truly complete.

ABSOLUTELY!  i saw a D-type whose nick name is "analreamer" my very 1st reaction was... Ewww, ok thanks for the warning  So yes, if you show zero class in picking out the "name" you will be known as, with every post you make, or collarme mail you send, then you are probably not my cup of tea.

Anyone named SirSomething or MasterSomething or with the number 69 in their name gets a chuckle out of me (and I'm laughing at him, not with him).

Well, I don't usually make a big deal out of names, but I did get some letters from a Dom Whose name directly referred to enemas and, yes, I was a little put off by it.  They just are not my cup of tea.  And a sub who wrote to me, her name referred to being a boozer.  Also not my cup of tea.  Otherwise, no name has much made an impression on me, one way or the other.  Sometimes I wonder how my name comes across.  I tried to pick it carefully.

Sometimes they're somewhat descriptive of the person... other times just funny.

I think if enemas or anal reaming are what you are all about, it's nice to put it in your name. That way people know exactly what they are getting into if they respond to your messages.

I feel the username is important. It gives you the first impression of that person. It's generally what they consider to be meaningful so if it refers to a fetish, body part, title, etc, I will know accordingly if I may find them of interest or not.

Ahem... e.g., "AnalViolator", "EnemaQueen", "NostrilMolester" (hey, don't laugh... some fucker is probably into that!)

I just hope GoriilaSuitMaster69 and Slave4bananaRape stumble on each other's profiles soon. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be.

One of the reasons i love perving femdoms profiles is the fantastics names. Then you see the picture and it is some 40 kg sweet smiling asian woman on the profile LOL. One thing i know is that all subs do enjoy, many vanilla too, is that feeling of a strong man holding them so they can feel that no strugle is possible.

I find the MasterSirBubba ones amusing.  Or LordSirDukeFred.  Duuuuude... you don't get extra Dom points for piling on the titles.  You just look indecisive.   Though, given my status as aspiring GrammarBitch, I have no patience for anyone whose nick involves 4 = for, or u = you, or worse yet, '4u'

Mine has no significance.  It's the name of a D&D character I used to play.   Hmm.. do you think I'd be more appealing to the D types if I changed my name to GrammarBitch?

I feel a little bothered by names like...worthless pig(or something to that effect). I realize humiliation is often a part of the dynamic -it's present in my own play to some extent. However, there's a huge difference between him saying it to me as he's flogging me, than in him angrily trying to wound me with his words in non-play situations. Underneath I KNOW I'm valued, and loved, and anything he says in play is simply meant to add that extra edge that makes me feel all wanton and excited. I just worry that someone with a name like that is setting themselves up to be disrespected, and in turn, harmed in some manner. Call it the "mama" in me that I worry.

Greetings all....

Nicks are a great way to filter people. Yes, you can put into your nick what your interest is and that gives people a warning. This is good. You can also pile terms or and titles on top of each other and show what a clueless loser you are as well. One thing I have noticed, especially among dominant types. Most of the people who are considered real and who get respect don't have titles or things in their nicks...they are just names of one sort or another. Sub types don't follow that rule.

Be well....

Malkinius

OP: Personally no. If you were able to pick something you really wanted, vs something that was left when you joined, it might matter more.

It matters to me. Making a kink into one's username (wanttoiletnow and such), puts me off no matter what. In the case of Doms, multiple honorifics (MasterDomDaddyyaddayadda) or whatever is pretty pathetic. In the case of subs, I really cannot take someone seriously if their nick is "PlsPissAllOverMeSir".
But, that's just me

Humour or originality or musical references are positive triggers in screen names.
Sexual/sm activity not.

Inverted humour names like SluttiestPigstyHolder are good too, but sometimes to challenging for my english.

Koan like names are great, names where i have to riddle.

Finally as a musican: the sound of the name, the melody.

GorillaZSuitKamerun would get my interest.

In an old chat of mine, we had an ongoing competition to create the most stupid names like:
LadyOfTheManorThatRulesTransylvaniannsInScotlandMagnificent.
