I would like to ask everyone's opinion on this email. Im not gonna give names or point fingers I am just curious about something. Why is it that there are so many "Doms"/"Masters" on this site that will gladly go out of their way to be so rude to people. My girl received this message today, completely out of the blue. I know she don't talk to Doms or Dommes on this site because she has no desire to. I just feel that this type of disrespect and behavior is the reason I have heard so many people speak poorly of this site. Most people here share the thoughts of their fantasy world on this site. We all know that what most people want here, Dom or sub can never really have what they truly want. In a perfect world we all could. I just want to know why people like this can post a profile and plainly state, and I quote "11/16/2009 5:30:52 PM: Opinions are like assholes so mabey all the assholes on here should keep their opinions to themselves.And if for any reason you do not like me its very simple dont message me.Like ive said before if i have offened any of the wanna bs on this site Kiss my Royal ASS...." then make sure they go out of their way to send a message to simply be rude to someone.

As has been stated on the message boards time and time again, some people are rude assholes. They come to places like this hoping to ruffle some feathers and get a reaction. It is the way they get their kicks. It is useless to complain about them as they never read the forums. That is why Collarme gave us the delete and block features. Use these features and get on with your lives.

Some people have serious self-image issues and seek to bolster their sense of self by spewing the kind of crap you describe. Sadly, I think some such folks seek out the BDSM world in just such an attempt...calling themselves a Dom not because they are or even have any real interestin BDSM...but because they think it gives them license to spew such crap and it makes them feel better about their pathetic self-image. Just a thought.

There are many possibilities. The person could be an arsehole themselves, there are plenty out there. Without knowing anyone involved there could be past history, or a posting style which caused offense. Your girls pic may have been stolen and used on a scammers profile. But going on the profile description, it seems like a self important, insecure arsehole. But rudeness is not uncommon, in real life, on the internet or on this site. I'm sure some people confuse rudeness/bitchiness with dominance, but anyone who can remember their school days should not be surprised from this type of behaviour. It is natural for the weak and insecure to seek out false dominance through rude, bitchy, bullying behaviour, attempting to bring others down in order to elevate themselves.

Because they can. My question to you is why let the words of a stranger on the internet bother you? Isn't it better to rise above people like that then to sink to their level? Believe me when I say most of us here have recieved an email similar to that, or some other type of troll nonsense. You only feed them energy by letting it get to you. I love the "block" and "delete" features found here.

I think that anyone that gets upset about something like this probably is not cut our for and/or does not belong on a site like this. If you're gonna get your panties in a wad about some anonymous comment from some anonymous source (including this one) maybe CM isn't really a great venue for you.

I notice this in chat rooms also, where people come in to stir the pot, and people keep taking the bait, thinking they are somehow going to talk sense into them or "beat them down with words". I never understand why the ignore feature isn't used. But I admit, especially if it's some initial posting from someone new, I end up taking that bait at times. As many a member posts on these threads: "Don't feed the trolls", and I try my level best not to.
