Wasn't the first time a "criminal" has been in the White House. One just left after being there for 8 long years[:'(]

Was he on the guest list, or was he just another party crasher ??

Slavehandsome -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/9/2009 6:44:04 PM)

He was on their Administration. His name is Van Jones.

Hugs and kisses her handsome smart friend! [:)].

K back on topic! No kidding Mike, I mean if I were in anyway a Bush voter, I wouldn't bring up the topic of criminals in the Whitehouse on a bet. That's like Sarah Palin wanting to discuss literature...or science...or history...or um politics? ;)

Brain -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/9/2009 6:56:39 PM)

Waterboarding is torture, all of them in the Bush administration, they are all war criminals and I would like to see them all at the Hague; especially Cheney.

servantforuse -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/9/2009 7:00:12 PM)

We dump some water on their heads, they cut our heads off...Go Brain

Slavehandsome -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/9/2009 7:01:14 PM)

At this very minute, in many places the CIA kidnaps people from their home countries and take them to (including one named Guantanmo Bay), people are still being waterboarded by Obama as per Bush's orders, by a kid who you went to high school with.

servantforuse -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/9/2009 7:07:34 PM)

Good Grief..Now Obama is taking orders from Bush ? I guess that is why they say it is Bush's fault...

Slavehandsome -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/9/2009 7:13:55 PM)

My point is that Bush and underlings started this mess, and Obama promised Change, yet not a thing has changed except the calendar month, oh, and the Debt Clock number. Since they all subscribe to the ideology of the Council On Foreign Relations, then yes, they're all guilty.

There is nothing like the "We can be bad guys if we can find worse bad guys." I used to think American's wanted to be the good guys.

Your butchering of the language meshes well with your conspiracy theories.

Termyn8or -> RE: Obama invited convicted criminal to the white house dinner??/ (12/10/2009 7:32:51 AM)

"Your butchering of the language meshes well with your conspiracy theories. "

Now that was not very helpful. Believe it or not on the PSAT or ACT or whatever test in school I was ranked on the second percentile in spelling. So I am fully qualified to give a spelling lesson.

First of all it's called the Trilateral commision. Secretive in their meetings one can only assume that they are benign, benevolent philanthropists with the best of intentions for all.

Another common misconception in spelling : conspiracy is spelled c-o-o-p-e-r-a-t-i-o-n unless someone else does it. Perhaps that is more of a matter of grammar.

Republic is now spelled d-e-m-o-c-r-a-c-y. It has been pointed out that the founding Fathers saw fault with democracies, but also pointed out that there were very few of them. Others will rebut that there may have been a very good reason for that.

Not is another very misunderstood word, as in "shall not be infringed". What it really means is "shall be infringed". While "not" silent as the C in Czar, the meaning of the word "not" can be muted at will.

As to the title of this thread, nobody gets into the Whitehouse who is not a criminal, but convicted is a bit rare. But then that is another case of language difficulty. Convicted for some means the get invited to the Whitehouse, for other it means invited, just to a different "house".

Hope this helps.
