I meant a major significant party, not accounting small parties like the Green Party and so on. Many Republicans, Democrats and Independents are looking for something that better represents their views and interests.

The Tea Party isn't technically a political party, however--it doesn't run any candidates. They are instead hoping to influence the existing parties' choices, particularly (despite their claims of political independence) the Republican choices.

I think that the 'tea parties' might have been a huge success. They stopped the public option in the Senate...Go teabaggers..

Actually, it was a combination of a lot of republican lies, a whole bunch of money spent by the insurance companies (I think half a billion was the last I heard) and the gullibility of the public that combined with the conservative democrats (who at least we accept are democrats) to produce something almost unrecognizable as a viable solution. He's talking about dawg harping on it to Panda as "evidence" of "bias" from Rather. For what it's worth, the NPR report only uses "Tea Party."

No, as usuall, MM is not telling the truth. On CNN the term was used along with snickering. Which is indeed absolute evidence of bias. Which also caused MM to change the terms of his challenge, in order to pretend he won..... Rathers bias is blatant and plain for all to see...

yes I absolutly have a bias against, people lying, making arguments based on strawmen, And people with no intellectuall integrity (for example offering a challenge, and then changing the terms in the middle, in order to pretend they won).

Glad that's settled...again. So...if Dan Rather said "Tea Party" with a snear, then THAT would be derogatory? Anyway, here's an idea.... Anybody got thoughts on, gee, how about the content of the feature? That would be great. It was the reason for starting the thread.

One needs to be gay to be aware of what teabagging is? This wasn't exactly a secret gay shorthand thing....like with their secret handshake.
