And I have no problems with people who are trying but may not have all the facts, or who have genuine slow learning or whatever. The people who are presented with information and reject opening their mind to anything, or (for instance) perfectly intelligent women who ACT STUPID ON PURPOSE, ARRGGGHHHH!!! Or worse, the people who know they are uneducated and underinformed and are proud of that fact, as if it makes them somehow "more authentic".
I respect people who believe differently than I do. You and I often approach topics at very different angles and have some divergent opinions. But you don't trip my "willfully stupid" meter because you obviously do think and consider. Divergent opinions may stir me to debate. Willful stupidity activates the "Urge to Kill" balloon over my head (remember the old They'll Do It Every Time cartoons?)
Yeah i really get your meaning here, and YES! i do remember that cartoon.
