ORIGINAL: Oumae Happy St Patrick's day to all. Oumae Back at ya ten times Oumae! So tell us... besides a few slaps of Guinness, whats par for the course in the motherland on this special day? I'm curious! LOL - The Ranger For those with kids in a parade it starts the night before putting rags in the hair to create ringlets lol. Its a Holiday here so means a lie on, up and out to Mass if that way inclined then off to watch a parade then some go to the pub and others home for dinner. LA is correct, tho' we do eat corned beef here it would be more likely to have bacon and cabbage or Irish stew or my kids favourite which is Dublin Coddle. In Dublin in the evening there is a Ceile mor which is a big Irish dancing night, plenty of jigs and reels and craic (please note spelling, it means fun) galore. It is celebrated both sides of the boarder so while wearing green is most common gold is great too. Most just wear a bit of shamrock but some really like to go to town. Some say Patrick was Italian, some say French but he was a man so please... not Patty too girly, Paddy will do fine! [:D] Oumae
