The left seems to care a whole lot about Sarah Palins' religion, and George Bush's religion.

And Mitt Romney's religion.

By the lefts own standards ones religion is a  legitimate issue.

No, you are misinterpreting.

When religion becomes a basis for policy, as George Bush did and Sarah Palin promoted, then it is a cause for concern.

Romney never made an issue of his religion though some did.  Which I agree was wrong.

Obama has never made an issue of his religion either, though some have.

One of the most prominent being you with your constant references to Jeremiah Wright.

It's just that I take what it says seriously, rather than make up shit to pretend it supports any given position.

You should try reading the Constitution, along with what the founders wrote. Throw in history of the times.

You may even come to like, and in time, love and protect the ideals that document enshrines.

There are two wacko theories going around about Obama, one that he is a closet Muslim, and the other that he was born outside the US.  I think that RacerJim confused the two theories.

Rev. Wright qualifies as a Black Ideologist (whatever the hell that is), but I believe that RacerJim intends to point out the one man who resigned from Obama's cabinet amid charges that he was a black separatist.  I have no clue why RJ stated that Obama has a multitude of Communists, Marxists, and Socialists hanging around. To be honest, I can't even come up with a single name of a prominent Communist/Marxist/Socialist in the US, let alone one who is hanging with the President.  You could make a weak case that the bank bailout fills Marxist economic theory "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs," but I would argue that Bush and Paulson are the most prominent C/M/S's since they devised and pushed it, and neither one of them is in contact with Obama.  Geithner is, though...

Y'know, RJ, I'm trying to answer these questions in your stead.  If you could answer them instead, it would clear up a lot.

Only when one wants to govern *using* that religion. Obama has already shown that he keeps his state separate from his church. The right should learn to do the same if they want their religion to be left alone. Keep your religious beliefs out of my government and I'll keep my nose out of your beliefs.
