Voted by both Houses but without filibuster I think. 51% majority in both Houses. Check me on this please.

I don't think the "without filibuster" part is correct unless the Bill comes out of reconciliation without any "germane" amendments.

Well, that is very interesting, do you think that any 'reconciled' bill come up on the calendar will be closely followed by a cloture vote on it? Or do you think they will go through the dogfight again and again on this?

It depends on how close the final bill is to the Senate bill. If its so different that it has no chance of passage then they'll just vote and kill it. If Pelosi rams the Senate bill through, then its a done deal. Somewhere in between the two is a dogfight.

Then that is what I am thinking is exactly what is going to happen, political theater in anticipation of mid-terms.
Dems: we tried healthcare reform but got blown out by the dastardly pubs.
Reps: we kept this pork spending bill from destroying our way of life.

Any other possible take on this?, because this certainly cant pass. And regardless of anything else, Pelosi dont carry that sort of nutsack around.

I think Id rather see the Senate bill go through unscathed. When the lines start at the 3 medicare doctors that remain after 1/2 billion in medicare cuts the Dems can kiss the next 2 or 3 elections good bye.

The Republicans won't have to say a thing, even Liberal newspapers are running editorials against this massive mistake. Howard Dean is against it. The only people supporting it are the wild-eyed types who don't care whats in it so long as Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi want it to pass.

The Queens new jet is a Boeing 757 that seats 200. Flying commercial won't do for Ms. Polosi. 1 way to California costs $60,000. $480,000 per month, $5,760,000 per year. I call that real change..

Well there ya go again, everyone knows that pesky snopes.com has a liberal bias, being based on acutal fact and all....

So the speaker using air force jets was a Bush ruling and Hastert used his 4 times more than Pelosi does and she never asked for a bigger jet and doesn't fly in a 757.... but other than that the picture above is very accurate.

And I was one of them....because I had more faith in the Democrats than to elect a junior Senator with no experience at anything but "community organizing" and with obvious radical left philosophies. Its the last time I overestimate the intelligence of the left.
