ORIGINAL: Sanity Because you're in denial that the three posts you're referring to, in fact the entire global warming discussion, is centered on anthropogenic global warming and not the natural cycles which everyone acknowledges. In short, no one denies climate change, ya nut! No, but when people use the terms climate change, global warming, and anthropogenic global warming interchangeably, then in another argument try to distinguish climate change from anthropogenic global warming without specifying natural cycles of climate change it tends to become confusing what the posters are trying to say. Yes. Exactly. Personally, I have strong doubts about anthropogenic climate change. Very strong doubts. But every time you try to have a discussion that reflects that doubt, someone comes swinging down from the trees and ridicules the whole topic by pointing out that it snowed in Dallas last week. Or something similar. This constant conflation and muddying of the waters, whether intentional or not, makes it almost impossible for anyone to even clarify the terms of the discussion, much less have an effective dialogue. Which seems to suit a lot of people just fine, sadly.
