Health care is rationed everywhere--including here in the U.S.

The issue is how it's rationed. Here that's ability to pay.

Brain -> RE: The Rise Of Republican Nihilism (12/26/2009 3:53:24 PM)

That's not true either. I had a vaccine but it was not forced. I had the option of having a regular flu shot and I also had the option of having the H1 N1 shot and I decided to have both; but nobody forced me. In fact, except for this year I haven't had a flu shot for 15 years. Stop making up bull, you're doing a Palin. I almost forgot, it didn't cost me anything and neither is the MRI going to cost me anything. I could go to Detroit or Buffalo and spend $750 but I wouldn't get an MRI faster.

Sanity -> RE: The Rise Of Republican Nihilism (12/26/2009 4:43:37 PM)

In Cuba, its the ability to bribe. In China and Russia, its the ability to pay.

I tell my kid, stay in school. Don't drink or do drugs, try and keep your wits about you because the world can be a cruel place.

And it would be a crueler place if the Democrats succeed in implementing socialized medicine because if you let your kids sponge off of you they never learn how to fend for themselves. We are becoming a nation of grown children who live in their Moms' basement, and "free" health care is just one more step towards making the next generation completely dependent on a nanny government.

And what happens when nanny goes broke, which thats the direction we're heading, and the majority of people no longer have a fucking clue how to survive on their own?

Socialism - the very definition of cruelty.

so you read the 2000 pages and you can guarantee me 100% that in the future the government will not force me or anyone in my village to take a shot that they do not want.

you are 1000% sure on this?

at the same time- you are 100% sure that the h1n1 shot was good for you- that you will suffer no long term effects- now, 3 years from now- 5 years- or even 20 years later?

the goal of world government is forced vaccinations.

remember we are still in a state of emergency.   Obama declared.

I would never sign a contract that I have not read.  Why is it ok for the government to do so?

Why also should I accept a unilateral contract.   I want something in return.   Endless regs apply to YOU- but not the big boys.

So you are sure that none of us will be required to receive any vaccines.

That it snows in the northern hemisphere during winter is proof that climate change is a hoax?

Yep. Anybody who says otherwise just thinks that because they've had a hum job from Tipper.

What does it take to keep some focus on reality here? Nobody denies "climate change".

No?

You only need to look at the three posts preceding yours.

It looks like someone may be in need of an Intervention.

Why is that Popeye?

Was there something offensive in me pointing out that three posts immediately preceding Kirata's claimed climate change was a hoax?

Or am I misunderstanding you?

Sanity -> RE: The Rise Of Republican Nihilism (12/27/2009 8:15:20 AM)

Because you're in denial that the three posts you're referring to, in fact the entire global warming discussion, is centered on  anthropogenic global warming and not the natural cycles which everyone acknowledges.

In short, no one denies climate change, ya nut!

So, since you asked that question and made those statements I'm sure you have read the entire text of the two bills and can point out where it says there is going to be a requirement for mandatory vaccines.

No, but when people use the terms climate change, global warming, and anthropogenic global warming interchangeably, then in another argument try to distinguish climate change from anthropogenic global warming without specifying natural cycles of climate change it tends to become confusing what the posters are trying to say.

Ok... just checked

Senate version talks about childrens immunizations and for those over 65, the two groups that get the most now. Starts pg 1221.

House version states on page 1392

1 State Medicaid agencies, State insurance agencies, and
2 private insurers to carry out a program consisting of
3 awarding grants under subsection (c) to ensure that chil4
dren have coverage for all reasonable and customary ex5
penses related to influenza vaccinations, including the
6 costs of purchasing and administering the vaccine in7
curred when influenza vaccine is administered outside of
8 the physician’s office in a school or other related setting

same page

18 (2) ACIP RECOMMENDATIONS.—The program
19 under this section shall be designed to administer
20 vaccines consistent with the recommendations of the
21 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advi22
sory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)
23 for the annual vaccination of all children 5 through
24 19 years of age.

1393
•HR 3962 IH
1 (3) PARTICIPATION VOLUNTARY.—Participation
2 by a school or an individual shall be voluntary.
3 (d) USE OF FUNDS.—Eligible partnerships receiving
4 a grant under this section shall ensure the maximum num5
ber of children access influenza vaccinations as follows:

i think that should answer your questions.

On the grounds that if it's a eugenics programme, they wouldn't be innoculating pensioners?
Nice try, tazzy, but we both know that trufax have no impact on a conspiracy theory.

Yes. Exactly. Personally, I have strong doubts about anthropogenic climate change. Very strong doubts. But every time you try to have a discussion that reflects that doubt, someone comes swinging down from the trees and ridicules the whole topic by pointing out that it snowed in Dallas last week. Or something similar. This constant conflation and muddying of the waters, whether intentional or not, makes it almost impossible for anyone to even clarify the terms of the discussion, much less have an effective dialogue.

Which seems to suit a lot of people just fine, sadly.

Sanity -> RE: The Rise Of Republican Nihilism (12/27/2009 3:05:27 PM)

I totally agree.

Primitives "swinging down from the trees" is an apt description of what we're seeing because you know damn well that if winter failed to come the alarmist monkeys would be flinging feces while screaming ANTHROPOGENIC GLOBAL WARMING at the top of their lungs and pointing to the localized weather as so-called "proof".

The look and feel of entering a new ice age has got to be a real bummer to those knuckle draggers, especially when combined with all the proof that we've been in a global COOLING PHASE for several years now...
