People tell jokes about the Marines because they're craven self promoters.

How do you move a Marine squad two blocks? Tell them there is a CNN crew filming there.

Want to end the war?  Put a Marine company on one border, tell them there are 75 cases and 12 kegs of beer on the opposite border and only enough ice to keep it cold for a week.

Then, GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!

"Yellow camo?  Which marines?  Not US marines... green/brown/black/grey... yep but YELLOW?!?  Not when I was in the field with them!"

Brown, It could be precieved as light tan giving it a yellowish color. Given the benifit of the doubt, I stand corrected. The joke should have read "Start out green, turn brown, and die in bunches" Thanks for the clarification. It takes the "yellow" confusion out of the equation and is still compares to bananas.

I have to admit, as far as military personel stories go, this one is pretty, "Out there."  I find it difficult to believe that it actually happened.  In fact, it reminds me of that T.V. show, "Fact or Fiction", and I definately say, "Fiction."
