i don't actually like the term, but if it's going to be used it should have some meaning

so why do you use it and what does it mean??

if you think your a dom/master/sub/slave and only have sat at a computer chatting about it, your not in the lifestyle

see you are using it again !  :(

if like me you don't currently have a partner and attending functions, you are currently not in the lifestyle

damn I am glad I am not like you !  glad I don't even know you  HA!!

if we're going to use lifestyle i think it should be limited to those that have partners and actually see them

nope !! am not gonna use that word.   do ya think I'm an idiot??  or jus stupid ??

Sorry.  I'm tense today.

A slice off my favorite Brian Eno piece, set to ocean waves!!  Guaranteed detensification.

osf, these pronouncements of yours are really murky. it just does not make sense to question semantics as much as you do.

I love our entire lexicon, so words do have meaning for me, but I don't try to ascribe what I think something means onto someone else.

your search for definitive definitions is going to continually fail because there are none. there are only individual interpretations, not generic meanings.

your attempt to classify everything and label it with a meaning is futile. but carry on if you must. there are more than enough people interacting with you, obviously myself included.

the thing is though...I like to offer up an opinion about a topic, and that is somewhat impossible to do with you. so instead, you get opinions on how YOU are communicating instead of the question itself.

edited to say that I am not being vicious, which I expect to hear back, just offering my opinion on these threads.

no i don't like the terms and yes i use them

hell sometimes i wish i could be like regular folks, but i'm not

if you have someone it's great, but when you don't it's more difficult to find someone and add to that the hurdles we put in our own way

stella41b -> RE: thoughts on being in the lifestyle (12/31/2009 7:05:37 PM)

If every single person on this planet is an individual, and each relationship is an individual relationship, then all things considered everyone must be living their own individual lifestyle.

This strikes me as a set of facts. Now you might accept their lifestyle as a lifestyle, you may not. That is your opinion.

over the years i've found a few

i think words are concepts and concepts help us see and understand what we're doing

if you alter the word/concepts it can give you new insights a new perspective

an epiphany i recently had gave me a whole new insight on something i've been pondering for years just by using different words

sexyred1 -> RE: thoughts on being in the lifestyle (12/31/2009 7:28:35 PM)

And guess what? You don't HAVE to make resolutions, make it easier on yourself. Intent is often good enough to make things happen.

Happy New Year! [sm=chug.gif]

As has been already stated " We are the lifestyle", each and every one of us. Without us, there would be no lifestyle

osf -> RE: thoughts on being in the lifestyle (1/3/2010 7:34:19 AM)

i understand now, the lifestyle means what ever those in the lifestyle says it means to theme individually
