BTW- Why wasn't this thread posted in Ask a Submissive section?

Because I wanted to hear about dominant women's as well as sub men's opinions and observations about this and what better place to find them gathered together than here.

And also because it didn't occur to me? ;) Seriously, even if it had occurred to me, I wouldn't have put it there, as I didn't want it to drift too much into the sub woman's experience of this state. I already know about that. I'm curious about the sub men.

lol. It doesn't bother me a bit. I was just curious as to who you were really asking. :)

Have also seen a slightly different version in vanillas ... the desperate and dateless types ... it's just assumed to be less dangerous as they're probably not so likely to be bound and beaten ... well, not with their consent anyway! (Is it REALLY less dangerous though?)

Yes!!  I've seen it too.  Hey, maybe we could call that one "vanilla craze......"

Sounds like a Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor. lol

Yes, it's very cute. :D So what would the bdsm flaver be.? Peppermint Patty sounds a bit mild... ;)

How about "sadistic swirl?"  French vanilla with pecans in it and ribbons of fudge and caramel swirled throughout.....mmmmm, yummy.  Or maybe "bondage brownie," rich chocolate with brownie chunks held captive in it.....  Maybe even "licorice whip" and have it taste like black licorice.  Damn, now I'm getting hungry for ice cream......

*smiles* In addition perhaps "peachy paddles" being peach flavored cream with two long flat strips of vanilla chocolate as "paddles." Paddles are yummy. lol

Yum  [:D]

My definition of 'frenzy' is a desire so intense it feels like you're going insane if you don't get what you need to release the tension. I've experienced 'domme frenzy' when I met someone who piqued my interested but I had no way of releasing all the aggressive tension inside.

That's kind of how it felt to me....."a desire so intense it feels like you're going insane if you don't get what you need to release the tension."  And I always wondered if Dom/mes got a kind of frenzy too.  Now I know.

I almost derailed a General thread but remembered just in time to file this question in the right place.

I hear sub women talking a lot about something called "sub frenzy." I don't understand the phenomenon very well; although a sub woman myself, it isn't something I recognize having experienced before. But it could be I'm just haven't made the connection with what the term is describing. I was wondering if submissive men have this feeling as well, or if this is a gender-specific emotion? And does it express itself in the same way as the submissive woman's version?

i have been sort of accused of it,  though i question if it exists as a real and specific phenomenon as opposed to a perceived one; afer all it is just a period of excitement, perhaps where a person might let arousal and fantasy take precedence over decisions.
I think the term is useful but pseudo psychological and not definitive. I think really it is overstated and is the same as any other burst of enthusiasm for a new situation.

I don't know about "frenzy", I never heard the word frenzy. Is it caused from pain? Is it sensual? What is it from?

LadyPact -> RE: Do Sub Men Experience Sub Frenzy? (1/2/2010 5:08:05 PM)

No offense intended, but did you read the thread?  There are some great definitions/explanations within it.

Macslittleimp -> RE: Do Sub Men Experience Sub Frenzy? (1/3/2010 6:56:02 AM)

I know this is coming a bit late, but sometimes it's how it goes with life.  In response to the OP, yes frenzies can be felt by any gender.  They also take on different forms which can be looked at as either positive or negative depending on the circumstances and intensity they take.  I have enjoyed reading everyone's comments and explanations and can relate to many as I remember going through it to varying degrees many years ago and have watched my own dc go through it in his growing experience.

A pretty good write up on submissive frenzies can be found at http://www.albanypowerexchange.com/Lifestyle/sub_frenzies.htm  There have been so many write ups by different people all giving slightly varied explanations, but this one is one of my favorites.

SlaveSubtoserve -> RE: Do Sub Men Experience Sub Frenzy? (4/20/2010 10:19:29 AM)

Tardy input here but it seems a sub guy's input was valued here so yes i have suffered it on occasion when my sub maso needs have gone unmet for extended periods due to whatever......it hasn't inspired me to take a quick kneel at the first sight of Instant Domme though tg.....usually i just up my workout regimen to burn off the frenzies until emotional karma returns or until i do take a thought out kneel to someone worth it.......

i have known my vanilla women friends to experience something similar when they hit a certain age and are still single so.....the frenzies have many different flavors and different triggers i guess.

Missokyst -> RE: Do Sub Men Experience Sub Frenzy? (4/20/2010 10:24:21 AM)

Holy crap, I thought it was a joke question. Do sub men experience sub frenzy? Judging by the amount of mail I get as a sub who is in charge, and my female friends who get a ton of "do-me" mail from sub males I am going to say YES.
MUCH more than any female sub. It is a demanding, annoying, pissy do it my way if I have to annoy you to get you to comply, temper tantrum foot stomping insult, if you do not... frenzy.

pyroaquatic -> RE: Do Sub Men Experience Sub Frenzy? (4/20/2010 11:53:56 AM)

I do not have friends in my local area. I do not get play. I do not go to clubs. I possibly have sub-frenzy. I know I am a recluse. A Lonesome Hermit.

although at this point I am happy that I have friends on here. Besides work, the only interaction I have are cmails, forums, and family.
