i was never comfortable with the power exchange term

i think both people come to the relationship as they are and therefore nothing is exchanged nor is it given or taken

the submissive may shed more and more autonomy as time goes on but she doesn't give as much as sheds it

my thoughts are still in the formative phase on this and i would like input from others

yin and yang. neither created nor destroyed. not created; transformed.

end of joke.

slap any coat of paint on it you wish. call it pig truffles, it is what it is to who it is izzing it.

I don't like the term "power exchange".
It always made it sound to me  that we somehow switched with each other.
Nothing of the sort happened.
I never traded my power for his.
I gave him mine and he took it.

I think I can use this same reply as an answer to several of the OP's threads.

If you don't like the term, don't use it.

please if you want to get into a pissing contest don't do it here

LadyPact -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 5:53:12 PM)

See, you're learning.

I'm much more likely to be courteous of a request, rather than a command.

let us know when you'r finished ranting and strutting then maybe we can get back to the topic at hand

mnottertail -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 5:55:52 PM)

you should beg her prettier then, before you pronounce so sweepingly and dismissively.

read what I wrote and look up vignette and who just came in here and wiped you off the face of the earth and how she did it, and then .... pontificate about power exchanges, having some experience in them from different frames of reference.

kinda like being raped if it isnt what you want, but some people say why NOT jump, so this answers that one for you too.

But that was the perfect example of a power exchange principle....

osf -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 5:59:08 PM)

Jeffff -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 6:00:24 PM)

If you're sitting at the table, and you don't know who the "bitch" is, chances are it you.

osf -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 6:02:44 PM)

for those not familiar with the situation , i have this little fan club with nothing better to do than follow me from thread to thread acting like disruptive unruly children throwing feces on the wall, they seem to want to feel at home, i apologize for their behaviour

You come here and start thread after thread questioning things. That's not a bad thing at all. But you do it with a disguised sense of judgement and disdain for anything which doesn't fall into your preconceived notion of how a bdsm relationship is supposed to be.

Have you ever had any sort of bdsm relationship? Or is your ideas and ideals just from books and fantasy?

mnottertail -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 6:04:23 PM)

lol, slick, but you are talking to yourself here. bullshit is bullshit, I call bullshit.

Ron

osf -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 6:05:31 PM)

hard to believe you're in your 50's

mnottertail -> RE: the power exchange principle (12/29/2009 6:06:57 PM)

why is that? whats your image of my life, lacking any experiences?
