Hi UniqueRaven,

That was a very fascinating and well written glimpse into your mind and life as a slave. I don't have anything to add really, I just wanted to thank you for sharing it.

This happens all the time when we are out, often in a business setting. beth came up with a great answer to this - she says, gesturing to me; "My job is keeping him happy." Knowing it coming gives me the opportunity to look at the envy in the eyes of the men and sometimes disdain coming from the women. Although every so often she gets a "GOOD FOR YOU!"

Ooh, that's a good one!  i used to say "i work for him" (and point to Master) or he would say "she works for me" but that would often get puzzled looks.  i like beth's much better.  Thank you for sharing!

Thank you unique raven for this well thought out post. I am entering my first M/s relationship 24/7 next month, and upon reading your list i kept saying to myself, hmmmmm. i never consider myself a slave let alone a submissive in my 29 year vanilla marriage, yet, excluding the 'playing' you described my marriage the whole time. i was there to serve him, and do as he wish. Late hubby always had that dominate persona, and was easy for me to abide by it.

Thank you for pointing out that the elusive fairies and unicorns aren't real in bdsm or in a Ds or Ms relationship. i think i can pull on my life experience then in serving Sir. Thank you for shattering a myth, and bringing reality to it from a s-type view. It came at the right and perfect timing for me...and am grateful.

You're welcome wisdom, and blessings on your journey.    i've enjoyed your posts as well.

That was my point. I think that beth's answer is probably the most direct and perfect answer anyone in a relationship, not working outside the home can give (especially if there aren't young children that should be included in the answer). After all, isn't that exactly what the "housewife" or "submissive" or "slave" is supposed to be doing?

i wrote this years ago, after i had been an Owned (non-Gorean) slave for about 3 years living 24/7 with my Master in NYC.  i'm posting it as i remembered it after replying to subtlebottomgirl's thread about getting past fears.  i'm not posting it as the "ultimate" list, just my experience and what i learned.  ...

Thank you - an excellent post - giving the moderation of reality to the world of fantasy - without bursting too many bubbles.

I like the list and found it amusing and probably pretty accurate.

It is my experience (only) that a Domme is not quite like how you describe your Dom to be.  I find females to be more accommodating to her male slave than your Dom is to you.  However, I will say that one of the hardest things I've had to learn was to keep my mouth shut.  I am very, very verbal and I love to talk and I love conversing.  However, sometimes the Domme tires of it and will tell you (or show you) in no uncertain terms to shut the hell up.

Just my experience.  Not that I haven't yearned for a more strict Mistress.
