For whatever it's worth, the same problems exist for sincere subs looking for dommes. And for that matter, the same problems exist in the vanilla dating world. We see profiles of people who seem like they would be potentially compatible, we write and then one of a number of things happen: They don't write back for reasons we can't understand and will never know; you start a furious back and forth email exchange that holds amazing promise and it just peters out before anything happens, again, often for reasons we’ll never know.
Attraction, chemistry, and compatibility are a mystery more often than not, and in this world where people have needs and desires that are outside of the mainstream, finding someone is all the more elusive. I never understand why people require so much just to go meet someone in a casual, safe setting just to see if they might like to see each other again. It would be so much easier and faster than the endless time spent emailing back and forth, chatting, etc. It almost seems like people want some sort of guarantee before a simple meeting for coffee. The irony is that you'd think people would make even more of that effort for something so much harder to find, which once found, is potentially worth so much more.
