Threats of violence, no matter how heartfelt, defensive, selfjustified, in jest, or to illustrate a point, or for whatever reason, are just bad form.
 
Firstly, it's the internet, it just comes off as bluster.
 
Secondly, if you ever do intend to meet someone from here, it's not a good badge to carry.
 
Third, it's the internet again. You're banging words into a PC or laptop. What are you doing - spit proofing your keyboard? Nobody's going to take you seriously, or at all, if all you say is couched in anger, even if you are legitimately angry. All it shows is that you need to gain a greater level of control over some negative emotions.
 
'Rise above it' is a cliche, but one worth attaining. Most people here have made passionate posts at some time, but letting it slip into an angry playground fight tends to blur any point you were hoping to convey.
