UrMyboi -> Been searching the boards for... (12/30/2009 6:34:26 PM)

Anyone have any info on straight men and guilt over enjoying ass play?

Thanks

MasterFireMaam -> RE: Been searching the boards for... (12/30/2009 6:56:12 PM)

The most common fear associated with it is related to homophobia. Many straight men see anal sex as a homophobic act and fear being labeled as homosexual, thus they fear admitting they like anal sex. We've seen here in the forums time and time again people asking, "Does liking anal sex make me gay?" The notion is silly, really, since all the women who like anal sex would then be gay men!

Thanks, I am searching for a boi I am talking with who has those fears... silly I know.. I wanted to direct him to archives about it, but haven't found anything solid yet.

Again, thanks.

I searched using the words, "anal sex gay" without the quotes.

Thank you, much appreciated..

What might help a little is to tell him it's not the anal play that makes someone gay or bi it's the "attraction" to the same gender.  If he is not into men then I don't think he has anything to worry about.

Right or wrong I told a slave this I had in the past and never heard of another fear.

Just what I've done in the past :>

Not that he should have reason to worry even if he was into men...

I did and he was so releaved to have finally told someone about his desires. I just thought showing him some old posts would be nice too.

Don't believe I said anything was wrong with that, the point was that was "his" fear, and there was no need to fear if that was his reasoning....where did I say there was something wrong?

If my past shows me anything it's that he'll be fine.  Even if he does find out he has an attraction one day, he'll have a great foundation and knows he has someone that he can turn to, like my friend did.

Hope you two have a happy new year[:D]

You're right, and perhaps I was trivializing the fear. I just see this type of stuff and think "omg, its almost 2010 and we're still dealing with homophobes" when I almost certainly wouldn't be as judgmental about someone with claustrophobia...

You're kind of jumping to conclusions here.  He very well might not be homophobic.  If he is like my friend, he might be going on how he was raised.  This is the bible belt and my friend was brought up with all the man trappings, hunting, fishing, etc and all the "instruction" on how men should be.

He was far from homophobic, he never said a word against anyone, and he did a lot for the community, he just had it in his mind as to how he was supposed to be....fortunately finally his found his happiness.  Not everything is black and white.

You might wanna rephrase that if you're looking for a straight guy.

"boi" is a word coined by the lesbian community to describe a young (or young looking/acting) masculine, subservient, gay female (it' s a frigging gender identity). When used by men, it's used in the gay community to describe someone along the lines of a "twink". This whole "boi" being used by straight people to describe straight guys is an advent of the internet and those with less than creative minds or absolutely no desire or respect to know the meaning of a word before using it.

Just sayin...

The funny thing is, a lot of men see anal sex as a homosexual act only if it's their butt being violated. They never consider that gay men love to put it in others butts, and giving is just as 'gay' as receiving when it comes to homosexual male sex.

I get the part about the word being coined and used in the lesbian community, the definition given was the one I use as well, but...

Why so sour toward the OPs usage of the term?  I've seen "boi" used to describe straght men often on the net, just like I've seen "ur" used insted of "your".

Maybe the OP was being more breezy with that particular term than you might like but I frankly don't see her using it as being disrespectful to the gay community nor do I think she was being stupid, or as you put it having a, "less than a creative mind"

Language is a very fluid thing, slang language most of all, and thankfully that is so, because if it were not we would all be opening our posts saying "Gadzooks!"...

UrMyboi -> RE: Been searching the boards for... (12/31/2009 6:43:36 PM)

I use the term boi because the first straight, submissive man I was involved with referred to himself as a boi. Perhaps he and I are wrong, but this is the first I've heard of it..and I do appreciate the feedback, I am here to learn. I thought it was simply a way to separate a true boy (pre-teen male) from an adult submissive man. Perhaps the word is evolving?

Let me ask you...

Do you think that someone can get what they're seeking in life, any part of life, if they're using the wrong language in asking for it?

To me it's like bitching that you don't have an "apple" when you really mean and "orange" but you keep asking  for an "apple".

Make sense?

boi

Underumam -> RE: Been searching the boards for... (1/1/2010 6:22:21 AM)

There are several strapon/anal sex threads on this forum. They aren't that old so shouldn't be difficult to find.

Well, it makes a great deal of sense, when one is shopping for fruits and vegetables, but the slope is a bit slippier when it comes to the word "boi"....

Apple and orange are words with accepted meanings that one can review in a dictionary.  Boi however is not a word at all, in the sense that neither the Oxford or the Merriam Webster dictionaries have it listed with a definition.  I'm sure that the wordsmiths at both firms are aware of the word, but unlisted it remains.  Like me, they might have "looked into" the term a bit, and perhaps found some of what I did.

Just in a quick review of the word via Google I found the definition that we both use, but found the term popping up in a number of other places, describing different people.

I found it being used by lesbians, homosexuals, African-Americans, Jamaicans, Northern New Jersey preppies, goths, skater punks, graffitti artists and Lord knows who else because there are over 31 million Google entries for this term!

The really wild thing is that the term means different things to a very wide range of folks out there....

Gadzooks!

LadyOddsworth -> RE: Been searching the boards for... (1/2/2010 10:01:33 AM)

Well since I am neither gay, bi or even bi-curious, and I do want to attract what I am looking for ... I have changed my name.

I like this one better.
