A mild recompense
For such an offense.
Though for my part involved
I offer these two cents

When staying with me for whatever length of time
My girls wait to eat, pouring red wine

And just what do they eat, truth be told whole?
Cold leftovers scraped into a dog bowl.

And upon further reflection: It is not common but not unheard of for me to starve her if she is displeasing—or if it so suits a cruel, brooding whim. Then again, I love fine dining too, and often she is taken in good care, dressed with opulence and forced to indulge the oh-so bourgeois propensity.

Plagiarize as you will, beautiful soul. And yes, I am in a rather good mood. Novel writing tends to do that for me. Writing rawks.

Woohoo!!  [:D]

And here i am fried after wrting an essay on the elements of drama exhibited in "A Raisin in the Sun."

i love the idea of using a missed meal as punishment. i crave the stern father/child in need of discipline type dynamic. That type of punishment for me would bring a feeling of security. i know i am important enough that my transgressions are taken seriously and corrected immediately with no hesitation and weakness. It may sound like a harsh punishment but some people need that decisive and a little bit harsh style.

Prunesquallor -> RE: Withholding Food (3/21/2006 4:18:33 AM)

You don't need 'regular sustenance' to maintain the blood glucose level.  The liver secretes glucose that can be utilised when necessary.  When someone is in the desperate last stages of untreated diabetes or starvation, the body itself will be consumed to supply the requisite levels of fat and carbohydrate.

Starvation for at least 48 hours will do nobody any harm whatsoever, provided they don't have medical problems.  You could probably starve for three weeks before any real harm began to happen.

I would never withhold proper and healthy nurishment for my sub. However, banning sweets and junk food is something I can ban for punishment. If she's really bad, I can bake chocolate chip cookies filling the room with it's smell and then eat them in front of her.

Oh no...

You guys are not going to start this again! (are you?...)

After missing Coke...cutting way back on Bacardi...and listening to ya'll tease me about chocolate, I am making food and/or beverage restriction a hard limit!

This is just wrong in so many ways!

On a more serious note; I am a 'healthy and proportionate' person, but, if I go without food for too long (and I usually do), I get shaky and confused.  And yes, my blood sugar levels have been checked.

Be careful with this one.

(uhm, esp. if chocolate is involved...[:-])

I never did this to My child, I will never do this to another human being---having had this done to Me as a child--I find it childish behavior---but that is My opinion and do not bash another who uses this "judiciously" as a punishment.

Lashra -> RE: Withholding Food (3/21/2006 5:44:52 AM)

Withholding one meal won't hurt unless she has diabetes or something of that nature. It sounds kind of childish to me but whatever floats their boat as long as no one gets hurt from it. Definitely sounds like an ageplay thing is going on and as long as they are happy.
With that said I have heard of some Dominants using food as a punishment/reward kind of reminds me of dog training [&:]...

What a delicious method of punishment.  i would happily be at the receiving end of being punished or disciplined by not being permitted to eat a meal.  But then i love and need a strict M/s 24/7 TPE relationship so i'll admit i have a different frame of mind and different perspective from many.

LadyNTrainer -> RE: Withholding Food (8/12/2010 9:56:49 AM)

Definitely not doing this, ever, to my type 1 diabetic sub.  Bad idea.  Also not doing this to my primary partner/sub, because we both work out and nutrition has to be timed to be effective.  Skipping meals is counterproductive for fat loss and even more so for muscle building.

Hmm.  I guess I could make them eat less appetizing food like basic protein and plain vegetables, but hey, that's what we eat most of the time anyway.  Except the diabetic, who gets his carbs or glucose tablets when his blood sugar says he needs them.

Might be fun to have one or both of them serve me dinner while eating off the floor, or begging for morsels from my plate.  That strikes me as both hotter and healthier.

How do you find a thread that is over four years old?

You can feast on the flip flop I am about to shove down your throat.

Bobanna -> RE: Withholding Food (8/12/2010 10:34:53 AM)

I believe certain infringements on people should not be dictated by anyone else but the person living inside the body.  The three main ones being -----> eating, sleeping, and going to the bathroom.  I have seen some very disturbing eating habits displayed by people ... a Dom in particular comes to mind, where he and I had gone out to dinner one night.  Some of these places give out food portions that could feed me for a week. This particular restaurant gave out HUGE plates of food.   I, being a normal eater, ate just what I wanted and just enough that I was beginning to feel full, but not overly so.  The man I was with, ate his whole plate ... which I sat and watched and was actually quite stunned.  Then allmost immediately he started complaining about how stuffed he was and then went on about how he had gained weight and needed to work out to get it off and then back to how full he was and was not feeling well.  I then asked him if he was raised in a household where his parents forced him to eat everything on his plate. (the starving children in Africa story comes to mind)  He of course replied yes, and if he didnt he was punished or reprimanded.  Thus he in turn developed a life long eating disorder where he was conditioned to eat everything on his plate, regardless of what his body or mind would tell him that it was time to stop ... or that he had the choice to stop.
Food is a funny thing, you need it to survive, yet so many abuse it by themselves and or now find it a way to punish somone.  I think there are other ways to control or disipline someone besides the use of food, just if only because of the dangers of disorders that may develop.  You never know whats going to trip someone into starving/purging/gorging  themselves.  This type of punishment also brings to mind the going to the bathroom punishment that Ive read about.  Where Tops wont allow their bottoms to use the bathroom and to hold it.  Fine on paper, but the reality is that it could do a number on your bladder or bowels. What  fun repercussions must develop from that?!?!   Maybe corner time would be a better suggestion.  Its pretty effective.

CallaFirestormBW -> RE: Withholding Food (8/12/2010 10:36:36 AM)

I have to say that, in certain of the dynamics that exist within our 'family', the withholding of food ("You will retire to your room without supper") is not a completely uncommon means. I don't do "punishment" dynamics myself, but have withheld food for -other- reasons (in preparation of an impending ceremony, etc.), both from myself and from the acolytes who are training in the spiritual path in which I teach.

There is nothing inherently wrong with using food as a disciplinary tool, as long as everyone in the relationship is ok with that, and there are no health issues left untended that could be impacted by food deprivation (hypoglycemia, diabetes, etc.).
