Fox News' Brit Hume Says Tiger Woods Must Turn to Christianity

"Christianity is a better path than Buddhism when it comes to forgiveness of sins, Fox News pundit Brit Hume told Chris Wallace on Sunday. According to Hume, Tiger Woods should embrace a Christian faith if he wants to be forgiven for cheating on his wife multiple times.

" 'The extent to which he can recover seems to me depends on his faith,' said Hume. 'He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of redemption and forgiveness offered by the Christian faith. My message to Tiger is, Tiger turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.'"

It is nice to know that Fox News pundits are divinely inspired and not only know when our grandparents are going to be exterminated by the health care police but can show us the way to religious enlightenment.  Is Hume in the running as VP on "The Palin's" 2012 ticket?

I thought Fox had reached the height of arrogance, but there seems to be plenty room left.

That's funny.  I was listening to the radio the other night and somebody was saying that he needed to be in rehab for his sexual addiction, and then people would forgive him.  Getting dipped might be the faster route.  Just repeat a few simple lines.

"Yo, Tiger! We christians feel ya, bro! We gotcha covered! We're the only religion that will let you feel OK about having cheated on your wife; all them other religions will make ya still feel guilty about it, and you don't need that shit. Come on over here and splash around in the blood of lamb, and it'll all be cool."

That's a great suggestion actually, and perfectly apropos from fox news!    Find Jesus and find your position at the top of your game again.
It's awesome how someone can be a complete m-phucker, but as soon as he finds Jesus, he can carry on without further interruption or judjement.    M

Hey Tiger, who is your new caddy?

Yeah, the guy with the long hair wearing sandals.

Any reason your wayward tee shot seems to bounce off the water?

It worked for all those "Wayward Priests" didnt it?

Revenge Factor?

Jesus and Moses were playing golf one day. They arrived at a tough, 215 yard par three, all over water. Jesus had the honor and stepped up to the tee with a 4 iron. Moses tried to convince him that it wasn't the right club, "That's not enough club; you need at least a 4 wood." Jesus responded, "No, I saw Tiger Woods play this hole the other day and he put a 4 iron five feet from the pin and sank the putt for a birdie."

Moses said, "I'm telling you, that's not enough club!" Jesus hit the ball into the water. He parted the water, walked out and got the ball, smoothed out the water and teed up again.

Moses said, "I told you that was not enough club; you need at least a 4 wood." Jesus said, "This will be fine -- remember what I said about Tiger Woods." Jesus hit the ball into the water one more time. As Moses looked on in disgust, Jesus got his ball and teed it up for yet another try.

About that time the next foursome was approaching the tee and one of the golfers in the new foursome said, "What's he doing hitting a 4 iron on this hole? He needs at least a 4 wood. Who does he think he is, JESUS CHRIST?" "No," replied Moses, "He thinks he's Tiger Woods!"

Pretty funny... Christianity sure works good for others with sexual addictions, like pedophile priests, Jimmy Swaggart, Jimmy Baker and all the other Ministers and self rightous folks out there.

Don't trust Buddhism which would expect Tiger to make changes on the inside, let him be changed by praying and following rules someone else made.

Don't forget this is the kind of crap that around a third of the country wants to hear... and they vote.

Do you suppose we'll hear about the gays responsible for the demise of his marriage?

Sounds like someone could use a little peace, tranquility, balance, a middle way, ....

Perhaps he should turn to Buddhist meditation...take the edge off....

When you are married to someone who looks like Elin and you have affairs with 12 to 15 women you need help from someone. I'd start with a good eye doctor.

Ha! How about Bill Clinton? Is he still "consulting with his "spiritual advisors" once a week like he told us he was going to do?
"Hey Jesse man, this hard-on just won't go away, it's the devil I tell ya!"
I wonder how long that lasted? "Jesse, hey man I can't make our spiritual councelling session this week, the Swedish Bikini Team is visiting the White House,...yeah, the ones in the beer commercial,...and Hill is going to be out of town on a speaking engagement so you know, "business first!"
Hey! Anyone seen any News footage of Bill comming out of church with that big bible under his left arm lately? Or was that just a "prop?"
It was funny that Tiger "took a hiatus away from golf." Shouldn't he have quit whoring around instead? I REALLY don't think "GOLF" was his problem!!!

Musicmystery -> RE: Fox News' Brit Hume Says Tiger Woods Must Turn to Christianity (1/4/2010 11:17:40 AM)

Buddha's last and most difficult obstacle to enlightenment was his own ego.

A problem Bill and Tiger well know.

Now I understand why he is a little loopy, a little too much Christian Kool-Aid; a little too much Pat Robertson and Pat Buchanan in his blood.

Depends which branch.....

You could buy an indolence from Johann Hertlz.....problem solved....

You could get in touch with the Methodists who will tell you that salvation is open to everyone...problem solved....

Or you could get in touch with the Calvanists/Puritans who will tell you that it's all pre-destined anyway....so there's not much you can do on this earth to change your after-life lot.....and no amount of joining the christians will change that....

I think he should join Islam......probably the terrorist division.

LMAO Since when did Fox News decide that they were in the business of passing moral judgements on members of society? What makes Fox think I give 10 cents on what Tiger Woods does or who he does it with or more importantly, what makes Fox think I care to hear their opinions on religion or morals? Fox is supposed to report news, not to get involved with people who society view as "celebrities" What makes Fox think they have any right to intrude into Tiger Wood's life? Would they be so fast to broadcast if it were one of their own employees? Of course not, nobody cares about them.

I'm pretty sure the ability, or lack thereof, to put a small ball in a hole 300 yards away, and take 30 minutes to do it, while dressed like a clown, has become the most overrated and inane human activity in history.

Well, it has to be up there. What a waste of good grass.

I know this guy used to behead people so it makes me think Buddhism is more forgiving than Christianity.

After striking a life-saving deal with the FBI, Tadamaso Goto, a well-know leader of the Japanese mafia, entered the Buddhist priesthood on April 8th, which is celebrated as the Buddha’s birthday in Japan. Goto was expelled from the yakuza’s Yamaguchi-gumi in October, after it was revealed that he traded information to the FBI in 2001 in order to receive a liver transplant in the United States. In the 1980s and 1990s, the yakuza in the Tokyo area, under Goto’s direction, was known for extortion, human trafficking, drug dealing, beatings, and destroying businesses that refused to comply with its demands. Goto believes that by becoming a priest the Buddha will enable him to begin a new life. Read more here.
