I didn't make any mention of the stimulus mess that the Democrats are so proud of. Now that you went off on that tangent, big deal if some Republicans want their grandchildren's tax monies going to their districts. if trillions of it is going to be haphazardly thrown at wasteful expenditures anyway.

You missed my point, I was showing how whenever the GOP lie to the people in their districts or this country, supports justify it.  Just as you did, the point is, He voted NO, spoke out against it, then takes create for it back home.

So, it shows, when your party lies, it's OK, only when the DEMS do it is it seen as wrong

Rudy Gulliani, an ex mayor of New York lying, is a little different than a sitting President lying. Obama and the dems are digging a deep hole.

Are you saying NO ONE in the GOP has lied to the people of this country?

God no, House, I'm not suggesting anything of the kind.  President Obama though, presented himself as something new.  He was the candidate of "Hope and Change," remember?  "Yes we can?"  If he knew he was lying then, what does that say about pretty much everything else that came out of his mouth?

Back in '76, Hunter Thompson wrote of Jimmy Carter that he was either the greatest candidate for President ever, or the most vile, because with the virtues Carter was claiming, there couldn't be any middle ground.  I'll have a look see for the article, but I've had bad luck finding his stuff online.

add:  Well, I'm 95% sure the article was "Jimmy Carter and the Great Leap of Faith," but all I can find is a pdf of his collection, "The Great Shark Hunt," and that's not gonna work

In his autobiography the late Bob Novak said that after meeting him, he thought that President Carter was a pathological liar. (Seriously. He wasn't kidding.) Take that as you will.

Not really, I have stated I do not support O'bama's actions in this matter, it's in the first page of threads, what I have been doing is showing examples and fact to people who feel Bush has never lied to this country and I find it strange how that same critical eye is not applied to the GOP currently

Granted Rudy is not the best example, it was just that he was on the news, but Cantor, and other GOP leaders are doing the same thing currently and no one in the GOP is taking them to task about their lies

Didn't Pelosi hold "closed door meetings" to discuss wether or not illegal aliens should get free healthcare in this country or was that Harry Reid?
Maybe she needs one of those signs on her desk like Truman had; "The Transparancy Stops Here!"

Popeye- Chapman now says both Polosi and Reid no way will be re-elected.

PaHunk, I don't think anyone would actually be "surprised" by that.
My friend in Nevada tells me Harry Reid is in big trouble and not well liked anymore by the populace. "He's gone!"
Pelosi one can only hope!

A commentator made the point that virtually every republican in Nevada is under indictment so Reid may win by default.

(CNN) - As Harry Reid deals with the fallout from controversial comments, a new poll suggests the Senate majority leader faces an increasing difficult re-election this November.

Only one-third of Nevada voters have a favorable opinion of Reid, according to the survey by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research for the Last Vegas Review-Journal. The poll, released this weekend, indicates that a majority of voters in the state, 52 percent, hold an unfavorable opinion of their four-term senator. The 33 percent who see Reid in a positive light is down 5 points from November, with the unfavorable rating edging up 3 points. The poll was conducted January 5-7, before news of Reid’s comments about then-presidential candidate Barack Obama's race sparked a controversy.

According to the survey, Reid trails three of his possible GOP challengers in hypothetical general election match-ups. The poll indicates Reid trails former Nevada GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden by 10 points and businessman Danny Tarkanian by 8 points. Tarkanian is the son of former longtime University of Nevada-Las Vegas basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian. Reid also trails Sharron Angle by 5 points. Tarkanian and Lowden are deadlocked the primary battle among GOP voters.

The "blogs" that I link to are hosted by a known media outlet and are authored by professional journalists who work with that same news organization, and so they have the same professionalism as you would expect from their columns or broadcasts.

Come now Sanity, you regularly post links which appear to be sound, authoritative journalism -  that turn out to be nothing more than blogs, selected to support your particular cause de jour.

Given all the politics in that was having a go at Nixon, I'm sure it won't.
Carter does seem to be a gap in his whining about Presidents, really. You'd have expected him to have given Carter an even harder time than he gave Clinton.
