Any man who would turn down Cali's offer to cook for him is a fool.

And here just for Jefff.

Shouldn't they be little round potatoes that roasted along with the meat?

No, the potatoes should be big, hollowed out, and filled with minced meat, peppers, cheese and spices.

Some of the pulp (?) goes in tomorrow's mash, the rest is mixed back into the filling.

Replace the pot roast with salted, air dried lamb ribs, steamed overnight.

The refreshments should be at least 40 proof, obviously.

And I can't have a full serving... [sm=sad.gif]

Health,
al-Aswad.

But not about her pot roast, you only hear disturbing things about her:

the beauty of a pot roast is its simplicity.

You are tossing a monkey wrench into that beauty, Aswad.

persephonee -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 5:08:16 AM)

KMsAngel -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 5:10:39 AM)

lamb ribs......

droooooooooooooooollllll

DesFIP -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 5:12:09 AM)

I think I have a brisket in the freezer. And potatoes. Dinner has been decided upon.

Aswad -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 5:22:29 AM)

Fine.

Lamb chunks, 1-2 cauliflowers, 1 tsp of salt, plenty of whole black peppers.

Layer it and then leave to simmer unattended for two hours.

It's simple, and it won't mind if he's late.

Health,
al-Aswad.

See, Jeffff, alotta the subbies just don't grasp the concept. They start nattering on about mac n cheese n such and hijack a perfectly good thread which is meant to be helpful to them re expressing their submission by serving up a goddam Pot Roast.

Simple critters that they are, they just don't get it. Sigh

*sings and dances* Mac and cheese, Mac and cheese

*wiggles rear end*

Try Pot Roast!............ the potato's should be mashed.

Don't ask us about our day while we are eating it.

I hope this helps.

Jeff

Funny, I was always taught that the quickest way to a man's heart isn't through his stomach, it's through his chest with a sharp knife!  LOL!  Totally kidding, but it's still a funny quote.

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 6:40:48 AM)

Clearly your problem is you are looking for potroast in the wrong country Jeff. Come to Canada, we'll give you potroast......without the conversation side dish

SweetDommes -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 6:53:49 AM)

I won't talk to you while you eat ... but I also won't cook dinner - cook it yourself and bring me a damn plate [;)]

Joking aside - forget the potroast - get a roasting pan, put a layer of kosher sea salt on the bottom, rub lowery's seasoning salt on a nice, big prime rib and toss it in the oven for a few hours ... Potatoes to be baked or mashed as desired. That was a GREAT Christmas dinner, and I even managed to fix it mostly on my own lol

CalifChick -> RE: Pot Roast and the art of submission (1/6/2010 10:30:43 AM)

Good mac and cheese is a culinary delight all its own.  A nice bechamel (white sauce) with various cheeses and sturdy macaroni.  Baked until golden and crunchy on top.  Yum.

Cali
