I view women's profiles on occasion and when I see one that does not have anything to interest me, I hide it so that I do not have to view it again. I do not see this as a problem.

I'm seriously curious what some of you are doing over on the other side. In the years and a half or so that I've been on this site, the amount of people I've met irl outnumbers the amount of spam messages I've received. I'm not even talking about how many positive friendly connections I've made either (which far outnumbers the spam) but actual instances where I have ended up meeting someone from the site. And the last time I got a spam message it was so hilarious (this fellow took the time to tell me how I was the "woman of his dreams") it was totally worth receiving for the comedic value alone.

Who moderate's all these volunteer's? lol Not everyone who wants to be one is going to be a good thing! I have run a web site and we were understaffed simply because everyone who applies isn't someone you want representing your site or moderating it! God... what a nightmare! lol People can have many reasons for wanting to be a moderator and not all of those reasons are of the highest motivations! Power trippin people often apply and if accepted based on whatever the site owners go by... can ruin a site! I was very careful who I had in control and for damn good reason! A bad moderator with a motive or one who owns a another site, who has created an identity can wreak havic on a site and that can often mean a loss to the people who use the site and in advertisers. There is a lot more to think about than simply moderating a site in simplistic terms of... get it done... it's so easy... why don't you do it?

It is pretty easy to spot the strange profiles and there is a button to Report message, so there ya go! I dunno it isnt a problem for me.

[:D] You'll notice that anytime you are on a profile and you are viewing it as a half page (not full page) there is the option REPORT PROFILE. Do so, and then there are radio buttons to select either the profile or the journal entry. The person who you are reporting will never know it's you. A reviewer will take a look at the entry and make a call. Our reviewers know the TOS well. Thanks to all of you for making Collarme more enjoyable for everyone by reporting such issues. As this is a free site maintained by volunteers, we can't have eyes everywhere.

Dude, really? You have been here for a little over 3 years (at least on your current no profile account). You don't have your profile active, so we all KNOW for sure these scammers aren't contacting YOU asking you to send them money and bring them to you and be their master. You wouldn't turn up in a search, so no one is contacting you. Many of the people YOU contact, because of your lack of profile aren't going to respond anyway. So what you are really complaining about is that while you are perving the profiles, looking for someone that might be compatible with you or whatever the hell you are looking for (without a profile who knows), you have to wade through the profiles of people who, in your opinion, are looking to scam you out of money or whatever. Have you tried the "filter" buttons? You can narrow your search so that you don't see profiles from Nigeria. Surely all these alleged "scammers" aren't local to you. I think you can filter the weight even, set your "low" limit above 12 pounds, problem solved. Sorry but basically you are complaining that you have to look at too long a list of profiles in order to find someone to contact because of all the "scammers." The fact that the rest of the "subbies" you contact aren't going to respond because you don't want to create a profile isn't a problem I guess.

I generally figure that these complaints can also be read as: the OP has set their filters to under 35/30/25-ish years & under 160/140/120 pounds, since those are the parameters I've most successfully used to produce profiles that seem most likely to be 'scammish' (suspect photo(s), too-good-to-be-true or otherwise strange text, etc) . . . . . Weirdly enough, when I set the filters to, oh, say, 30-50 year old women under 200/220/240 pounds, the 'scammish-seeming' profiles become very much a minority . . . . . Well, okay, I was being generous & kind. How about, under 25 yrs, under 120 pounds, & then the ones of most interest would probably be the hottest ones that seem most likely to put out . . . . . . The part that's funniest is that I suspect a fair number of actual hotties list themselves with ages of 80+ yrs & weights of 700 pounds or other weirdness, out of the desire to avoid those who seek after a weight & / or an age . . . . .
